OK... Read this first. source: paddocktalk.com - rumors This is a possible scenario created in our editorial heads. It not speculation, and isn't based on anything. It might as well be the Da Vinci Code (which by the way was a work of fiction for those that still don't understand the reference). But Carl Russo indicated in today's press conference that former RuSPORT Champ Car driver A.J. Allmendinger is obviously talented and that means he will likely end up with another team. So when such situations arise, where a talented driver becomes available, one has to realize that there may be contractual limitations which constrict those that may employ such a talent. But... in a perfect world, one would look up and down the paddock and see which team might be underperforming with the driving talent they have. And one such opportunity might be at Forsythe Racing. Earlier this week, Mario Dominguez became just the second Champ Car driver in history to have to pay a points penalty by the series. Twice, he has knocked out leading contenders, including his teammate Paul Tracy. Twice. Once was once too many. So... one possible place for A.J. Allmendinger might be Forsythe racing, with the man who helped bring him into racing... Paul Tracy. It would also give Forsythe another driver to help build their future with. Mario could find a nice home in the paddock, maybe even moving to Dale Coyne racing and completing a three-way trade. The PaddockTalk Perspective: Carl Russo knows his team better than anyone else in the paddock, and he saw the need for a shake-up. Currently, Forsythe Racing isn't moving forward. If there is anyway possible to pull this off... We'd like to see it, and see A.J. land with another top notch Champ Car team, that has temporarily lost its way. It would be good for Allmendinger. It would be good for Forsythe Racing. It would be good for the series.
