Malaysia's Alex Yoong is not giving up hope of returning to the Champ Car
World Series at some stage this season despite losing his seat to Gualter
Salles of Brazil after the German round last month.
Yoong was forced to walk away from the series when much needed sponsorship
funds could not be found, despite putting in some very strong performances
during his time with Dale Coyne Racing.
"We will continue making efforts to secure a seat for some Champ Car
races this year," Alex said. "We are still very much in touch with
Dale Coyne in this respect as we have built up a good working relationship in
the four races we had done together."
The young driver has said that the US based series is the best was back to
Formula One and he very much enjoyed his time competing with Dale Coyne. Alex
took part in four races this year as it was possible for him to mix it with
the top runners in both practices and races.
