Jeep(R) Announces Pricing for All-New 2005 TJ Unlimited Rubicon

- Jeep expands TJ lineup
- A Jeep TJ Rubicon with twice as much cargo space; room for family,

WINDSOR, ON, Sept. 27 /CNW/ - Jeep(R) TJ, the heart and soul of the Jeep
brand, dominates the small sport utility segment. Jeep, the "Go Anywhere, Do
Anything" brand that introduced a longer-wheelbase TJ Unlimited model earlier
this year, plans to conquer even more territory with the introduction of its
all-new 2005 Jeep TJ Unlimited Rubicon this fall.
Jeep announced pricing today for the all-new 2005 Jeep TJ Unlimited
Rubicon. For $29,395 Jeep delivers extreme, rugged off-road Rubicon capability
in TJ's new long wheelbase Unlimited model, which is 381 mm (15 in.) longer
than the standard Jeep TJ with twice as much cargo volume.
"Jeep TJ Unlimited Rubicon is the ultimate vehicle in terms of
versatility, whether it's used for serious off-roading or to transport family,
friends and cargo," said Ron Smith, Vice President, Marketing, DaimlerChrysler
Canada. "With its extended overall length and added cargo space, Jeep TJ
Unlimited Rubicon offers a smooth and comfortable ride even in extreme
conditions, without sacrificing any of the open-air fun and freedom associated
with driving a legendary Jeep."
The 2005 Jeep TJ Unlimited Rubicon's off-road system includes front and
rear Dana model 44 axles with "air-actuated" Tru-Lok(TM) locking front and
rear differentials, a Rock-Trac(TM) 4:1 low-range transfer case, four-wheel
disc brakes and 31-inch Goodyear TJ "Maximum Traction/Reinforced" tires, which
provide an extra one-half inch of ground clearance versus the standard Jeep TJ
Unlimited model.
"Jeep TJ Unlimited Rubicon's unique factory off-road system is another
chapter in the TJ value story," Smith said. "Jeep TJ Unlimited Rubicon offers
extreme off-road capability at approximately half the price of modifying the
vehicle with aftermarket hardware. Combine that with Jeep engineering, testing
on the world's most demanding trails, Jeep's 5-year/100,000-kilometre
Powertrain Limited Warranty and significantly more space, and it's clear the
all-new 2005 Jeep TJ Unlimited Rubicon delivers the ultimate combination of
capability, versatility and value."

More Jeep TJ Unlimited Rubicon Features
In addition to extended length and increased cargo volume, the all-new
2005 Jeep TJ Unlimited Rubicon offers improved on-road comfort due to improved
shock tuning and a 2,616 mm (103 in.) wheelbase, which is 254 mm (10 in.)
longer than the original TJ.
A new dash pad, hood pad and thick rear carpet padding in the cargo area
contribute to a 30 percent quieter ride in Jeep TJ Unlimited models.
An innovative new Sunrider(TM) soft top, with a "sun roof" in addition to
the full top-down option, is offered on the Jeep TJ Unlimited Rubicon. The
Sunrider top includes larger deep-tinted windows, providing second-row
passengers better visibility.
Inside, access to the second row is improved with tip-and-slide front
seats on both driver and passenger sides. Other interior highlights include an
additional power outlet on the dash and an optional security group that
includes an electrochromatic rearview mirror with temperature/compass display,
map lights and Sentry(R) Key.

Best-In-Class Towing; Durable Power
Jeep TJ Unlimited models boast best-in-segment towing capability of
1,588 kg (3,500 lbs.), which is 680 kg (1,500 lbs.) more than the standard
Jeep TJ. The Jeep TJ Unlimited Rubicon is powered by the 190-horsepower
4.0-litre Power Tech(TM) I-6 engine, available with a four-speed automatic
transmission or new, standard six-speed manual transmission.

Jeep Brand
Jeep TJ Unlimited is now available in Jeep dealer showrooms. The all-new
2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee and new Jeep Liberty Renegade and Jeep Liberty Diesel
models launch this fall.

Crim que les prix grimpe vite... j'en ai eu un '97 Sport 4L, pis il se détaillait +/- 24500$...... c'est capoté..... c'est le même maudit Jeep...

Le TJ sport et le rubicon ne partage que le moteur, la carrosserie et le chassis. Tout le reste est très différent : les différentiels (gears,locker et essieus), les arbres de transmission (téléscopique), la boîte de transfert (tera-low), la transmission (Getrag 6 vitesses), le système de freinage (disques aux 4 roues), les roues(16 pouces) et les pneus (31 pouces MTR de Goodyear).

Si je prend ton 97 que tu a déjà eu et que je vais chercher ces différentes options dans l'after market afin d'équivaloire au rubicon voilà ce que ça donne:

les différentiels (gears,locker et essieus)(5000$-6000$), les arbres de transmission (téléscopique)(1000$), la boîte de transfert (tera-low)(2000$), la transmission (Getrag 6 vitesses)(ND), le système de freinage (disques aux 4 roues)(1000$), les roues(16 pouces)(1000$) et les pneus (31 pouces MTR de Goodyear)(1500$)

Ça fait 24000$ pour ton 97 plus 11000$ à 12000$ donc 35000$

Donc, non c'est pas chère un rubicon pour ce que tu as comme équipement. En passant, un TJ sport, ça coute encore autour de 25000$ en 2004 !

NB: Un rubicon, c'est une machine de trail, alors si c'est seulement la ballade pépère qui vous intéresse, ça donne absolument rien d'acheter un rubicon. Le sport est là pour ça !

Sur le site de Jeep... à peu près la même affaire que j'ai eu.. c'est rendu un 28-29 mille douilles....

Un autre point... tout l'équipement supplémentaire sur le Rubicon, mettons que Jeep doivent avoir un meilleur prix que moi et vous sur ce!!! Fait que.... en y pensant pas trop... t'as bin raison, c'est pas cher cher pour un Rubicon comparé à un Sport!!!!
