Alain has been passionate about cars and machines since his teenage years. He is an avid reader of anything relating to the automobile and has a particular interest in history. For over 35 years, Alain has worked as a technical translator, a career that led him from the private to the public sectors as a translator and manager. In the early '80s, he founded his own translation firm in Ottawa, specializing in the automotive industry. Since moving to Quebec in the late '90s, Alain has embraced automotive journalism, working for Jacques Duval's Le Guide de l'auto yearbook and TV shows. His stories are published in English and French in local and foreign publications, and for several years he wrote a weekly column for the automotive section of La Presse, called 'Rétroviseur'. He has been a regular contributor to Auto123.com since 2006.
In keeping with his passion for collectible automobiles, Alain attends many car shows in both Canada and the US, and races his 1964 Fiat Abarth 1000TC in vintage events.
