Red Light
No real negative points
|
 |
Yellow Light
rides a little rough over bad terrain, but pretty fair on major highways.
Front seats could be a little more comfortable. Bit of road noise creeps into cabin, but could be the 18" Bridgestone Duellers.

Green Light
acceleration, visibility, brakes, instrumentation, audio, navigation, satellite radio, AWD,
safety features, for a suv the gas mileage is pretty fair, not much I don't like about this vehicle.

Review:
I traded a 2003 3.2 liter Cadillac CTS on this 2011 Santa Fe 3.5 limited AWD because I got tired of the cost of maintaining the CTS. There is approx. 3500 kms on this vehicle now and at first I thought the fuel consumption was going to be a giant problem. But it's gotten better and better the more K's I put on it. Hwy now is about 8.8 per 100K's. Ride is stiff, some might say a bit rough but you get used to it and almost begin to appreciate the tighter handling for a suv. Plenty of legroom and headroom all the way around. The audio functions are easy to use along with nav and bluetooth. Sound is exceptional for this price point. Braking is excellent at all speeds with no peddle fade. Tilt and telescopic steering will help find an almost perfect steering position. The 3.5 responds well to acceleration at all speeds and is never noisy doing so. Heated front leather seats work great, leather interior in the limited is fair but nothing luxurious about it. Storage capacity behind the back seats is exceptional. All in all I find the 2011 Santa Fe Limited 3.5 w/nav the best of class that I have found, with the price and warranties being the best. Haven't encountered snow yet but am told the AWD is excellent in snow. We'll see and I'll report back as there is plenty where I come from *
