2012 Audi A6 First Impressions
Friday, September 30, 2011

Set to make its market debut in early 2011, the wraps were taken off of the brand-new Audi A6. Although the manufacturer claims a choice of 5 engine options available in Europe, it is more likely that North American versions will be powered by the same 300-horsepower, supercharged 3.0-litre V6 that is used in the current-generation car. It was also told that a hybrid version will be available at a later date.

1998-2004 Audi A6 Pre-Owned
Saturday, July 17, 2010
After a used European family sedan? Cold blooded Canadian after something in an AWD to stick it to Mother Nature's most miserable work? Sort of sounds like you're looking for an Audi, doesn't it? After all-- competing with BMW and Mercedes for the dollars of Canadian shoppers is more easily accomplished when you've got a quarter-century-long reputation for All Wheel Drive (AWD) performance.

2009 Audi A6 3.0 TFSI quattro Premium Review (video)
Sunday, May 31, 2009
For years, Audi's 'T' designation stood for 'turbocharged'-- but the German automaker has begun defying its own nomenclature by applying it to cars motivated by a new supercharged V6. Drive one of the resulting vehicles, and you'll have to explain to your friends how a supercharger is technically a belt-driven turbo, and that the Germans use the terms interchangeably.

2008 Audi A6 4.2 Review
Saturday, August 30, 2008
If, like me, you appreciate elegant things, objects that are simply pleasing to look at or designed to be admired, then the Audi A6 is for you.
This is the impression I got when I picked up the Audi A6 with its 4.2-litre, V8 engine. It doesn't reinvent the wheel, but it's large, lithe and lovely. In reality, this is a car aspiring to become a limousine.

2008 Audi A6 Avant 3.2 quattro Review
Friday, April 18, 2008
I was heading down to New Hampshire for Christmas with the kids and the Boston Terrier. I had a lot of gifts to bring down, but since I was going to my mom's place, I knew there would be a lot of stuff to carry back home; once again, my kids were to be spoiled rotten on Xmas day.

2007 Audi A6 4.2 quattro S-Line Road Test
Tuesday, August 14, 2007
The "standard" A6 4.2 is a handsome-looking machine, though just a little sedate-looking when parked next to a more-expressive BMW or Mercedes. Compared to these, the A6 looks the least like a performance car, or the most like a sleeper--depending on your perspective.

2006 Audi A6 3.2 Avant Road Test
Monday, August 21, 2006
Where North Americans were served SUVs, the Europeans remained with the station wagon. There was certain wisdom in our counterparts overseas where they realised that SUVs may fit in the streets of Urban North America but not in the heart of Paris or London, that and the ever climbing price of petrol. As we have now caught up to the European reality of expensive fuel, we are re-examining our need for trucks. Our families cannot be downsized, however our chosen means of getting around can be.

A magnificent stereo serenading your ears with your most loved music collection. The sunroof open overhead with the night sky beaming down upon you. Active xenon headlights directing crisp illumination into each corner. Your right hand calling up gears in a six speed automatic transmission that knows what its doing. And the ride: soft and calm but yet somehow connected and communicative at the same time. How could it get any better than this?

Gone is the dash-mounted flower vase in the latest version of Volkswagen's Bug. Gone too is much of its cutesiness, replaced by a notable degree of sportiness intended to broaden the Beetle's target market by attracting male attention.
