With great Honda sports cars like the Prelude, NSX, S2000 and CRX all retired to that great big sports-car graveyard in the sky, it's now the sedan-based Honda Accord V6 Coupe that stands as the brand's ultimate performance offering.

2011 Honda Accord SE Review
Friday, April 29, 2011
Honda Canada likes to play with words. A press release in June 2010 announced the arrival of a "new version" of the Accord sedan. Dubbed SE (for Special Edition), it would be replacing the 2010 Accord LX as the entry-level model for 2011.

2011 Honda Odyssey Touring and Accord Crosstour EX-L 4WD NAVI Review
Friday, April 08, 2011
Honda. As I say it out loud here in my home office, I can't help but feel confused, sad and partially frustrated. In my so far brief 12-year career as an auto critic, I have still managed to evaluate nearly three dozen Hondas. In that period of time, I've test driven three generations of the Civic, two of the Accord, CR-V, Pilot, Fit, Insight and Odyssey and one of the Ridgeline, Element, CR-Z and Crosstour.

2011 Honda Accord SE Review
Wednesday, March 16, 2011
Last week I was driving the very popular compact Honda Civic Sedan, known for its reliability, capable drive qualities and functional, yet small size. This week I am swapping the Civic for something bigger. It is another product from Honda that also has a long history for being reliable and competent and is now classified as a full size car.

2010 Honda Accord Coupe V6 M6 Review
Monday, November 01, 2010
Honda vehicles have always been at the top of my list, for a variety of reasons. I like the quality of the assembly, their relative reliability, and their great value. However, style and, admittedly, driving enjoyment aren't always up to snuff.

2005-2007 Honda Accord Hybrid Pre-Owned
Saturday, September 11, 2010
Ever pressing towards greater and greater environmental sensibility, Honda launched a hybrid variant of their popular Accord sedan for the 2005 model year. The relatively short-lived model lasted through till 2007 and was never exactly a sales success--though it furthered the automaker's reputation in the hybrid vehicle scene to some degree.

Accord Crosstour or TSX Wagon?
Saturday, July 10, 2010
Of course, Honda will say that the Accord Crosstour isn't a station wagon like the TSX, but a crossover vehicle. They will also say that the TSX isn't a station wagon, either, but a Sport Wagon. Sure.

2010 Honda Accord EX-L NAVI Review
Tuesday, June 22, 2010
The Accord is about to grow straight out of its size category. We at Auto123.com still consider it a mid-size sedan because it competes against the likes of the Toyota Camry, the Ford Fusion and the Nissan Altima, but in the USA, it's classified by the EPA as a full-size sedan. Yup, the Accord is almost as big as a Crown Vic.

2010 Honda Accord Crosstour EX-L V6 NAVI Review
Thursday, March 25, 2010
I don't know for sure what to call the new 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour and, frankly, neither do the company's reps. Halfway between a sedan and a wagon, the misleading configuration even hints at a coupe -- which it isn't. As for its massive, Grendizer-style nose, it looks like it was ripped off from some rugged 4x4. Why such a drag show?

Honda's Super Bowl XLIV Ad of The All-New Accord Crosstour (video)
Wednesday, February 03, 2010
As one of the most-watched TV programs of the year, the Super Bowl is the ideal environment to prominently draw attention to Honda's all-new Accord Crosstour. Airing during the fourth quarter, the 30-second spot features an animated squirrel with an insatiable appetite for "squirreling away" all things cargo, set to the tune of "Funky Stuff" by Kool & The Gang.

2010 Honda Crosstour EX-L 4WD Review
Tuesday, January 05, 2010
First we went crazy for SUVs built on truck platforms, then we fell for crossovers based on car platforms, and now it appears that we'll go gaga over 4-wheel-drive (4WD) 5-door hatchbacks mimicking sports coupes.

2010 Honda Accord Crosstour First Impressions
Wednesday, November 04, 2009
Malton, Ontario -- Even if they need the room, North Americans tend not to opt for minivans and station wagons. At the same time, this group seems instinctively drawn to all-wheel drive. Not too long ago these customers gravitated to SUVs. Now they're driving crossovers.

2009 Honda Accord EX-L Review
Tuesday, October 13, 2009
If you're over 50, you can't help but be amazed by the major evolution of the Honda Accord over the last 30 years or so. In 1976, the Accord was positioned as the largest car in the Japanese automaker's lineup... even though it was the size of a 2009 Civic and aimed at budget-minded consumers!

Honda's 2008 Accord Sedan Exposed!
Thursday, May 31, 2007
We're still tripping over pre-production Accords! But it seems that each day we find something a little different, and today was no exception. The model we shot is distict by it sunroof, digital satellite radio antenna and wheels. With similar - but not identical shapes, and different textures (no honeycomb grille on this sedan) - it was easy to tell the difference between sedans and coupes in our rear-view mirror.

2008 Honda Accord Coupe EX-L V6 Review
Monday, September 08, 2008
It's not easy being a mid-size, two-door coupe these days. Chevy's Monte Carlo got its final pit stop last year, while Pontiac is still selling the G6 Coupe, and Nissan recently added a coupe version of its popular Altima. However, you can pretty much count the Accord Coupe's competition on one hand.

2008 Honda Accord Coupe EX-L V6 Review
Sunday, June 15, 2008
Prior to its market introduction, the all-new 2008 Honda Accord made many skeptics out of auto journalists (myself included). After all, you can't redesign such a popular car with so many qualities without potentially alienating some fans. Still, there were a couple of aspects that needed to be improved, such as sportiness. Most will agree that the Accord did not offer the most spirited driving experience in the world.

2008 Honda Accord EX V6 Sedan Review
Friday, May 09, 2008
Cars are not all equally important. While some might be a lot more exciting to drive, they're often priced beyond the reach of most consumers, who can't do anything else but to dream about owning one of them. Other cars are fun in their own right but they deal with much higher expectations. The new Honda Accord will certainly prove to be a master at meeting people's expectations. Everywhere, Honda customers and car enthusiasts of various walks of life were eagerly waiting for it, as the automaker had promised a long-overdue makeover.

2008 Honda Accord EX-L Review (video)
Wednesday, April 16, 2008
Honda designers have finally shown us what they're capable of. With the new Civic, the transformation was original and well executed. And while the automaker's best-selling car in North America, the Accord, has been redesigned a little more conservatively, the final product is nonetheless sleek and sharp-looking. Larger than ever and displaying a wider stance, it can once again rival other midsize sedans in terms of styling and visual execution.

2008 Honda Accord EX-L Navi Review
Sunday, May 18, 2008
Everyone in my immediate family drives a Honda Accord. My parents each have an EX- one a 1996, the other a 2000. My brother drives a sporty 1992 EX-R, and combined they've got well over three quarters of a million kilometers clocked. I'm the odd man out with a Nissan 240SX, but the rest of the gang loves the economy, ride and smoothness the Accord reliably delivers each and every day. The fleet was joined recently by the 2008 model for a test, and the added insight from a family of Accord owners would be welcomed.

2008 Honda Accord First Impressions
Friday, September 07, 2007
Some products are so highly anticipated that their manufacturers cannot afford to make the slightest mistake; otherwise, consumers will be equally disappointed. That was challenge facing the engineers and designers of the all-new 2008 Honda Accord, a car with so much expectations (the previous model enjoyed a huge success) that initial forecasts hinted at significant improvements.

2007 Honda Accord Hybrid Road Test
Friday, June 29, 2007
Sometimes, cars are redesigned without really needing to be. After five years on the market, the current Accord will be replaced by an all-new version this fall. However, every time I drive it, it just doesn't feel that old. A V6-powered Accord is quick, well-equipped, spacious and tight as a drum. The hybrid version promises to be the Ultimate Accord, with a higher level of straight-line performance as well as consuming less fuel.

No Accord Hybrid for 2008
Wednesday, June 06, 2007
Pictures of the next generation of the popular Honda Accord have already been circulating on the web. Most first impressions usually hover around the fact that the new Accord looks bigger than the present car and that it seems to have lost some of its character.

2007 Honda Accord Hybrid Road Test
Tuesday, May 22, 2007
Honda claims its hybrid-powered four-door Accord Sedan will squeeze 100 kilometres of city and highway driving out of 8.2 and 6.1 litres of regular fuel respectively. The on-board information centre in my tester displayed an average economy of 9.4 litres of fuel for 100 clicks during my hasty city stints. That may not be considered remarkable, that is until you realize the similarly sized Lincoln MKZ I recently tested displayed an average consumption of 16.7 litres for a metric century.

2007 Honda Accord Coupe SE Road Test
Monday, June 25, 2007
At $26,500CA, the Honda Accord Coupe SE offers buyers a refined, well-equipped beautifully constructed sports coupe. Although its design is largely unchanged from its 2003 introduction, the Accord Coupe continues to exhibit some of the sleekest lines available in a mid-size two-door ride. The only 2007 styling revision apparent to my myopic vision is a sharpening of the rear deck lid drop-off, otherwise the vehicle continues to project a slick, spirited image that conjures-up thoughts of fun over function.

2007 Honda Accord EX-L V6 6-Speed MT Road Test
Thursday, February 22, 2007
What a difference a clutch makes. The third pedal in Honda's lively Accord transforms it from a well-mannered four-door into a well-bred sports sedan. The opportunity to road test a Honda Accord isn't the Holly Grail of road testing that automotive journalists earnestly seek. Yet I came away from a week behind the wheel of my staid-looking tester with a renewed appreciation for the vehicle that put Honda on the map in the mid-size category. My bone-white example didn't excite me visually; fortunately it did that and more from behind the wheel.

Honda shows off attractive Accord Coupe Concept (VIDEO)

Take a good look at this concept car, because that's probably what next year's Accord Coupe will look like. Clearly, the concept has much more aggressive lines than the current Accord, with its long hood and fastback roofline.

2006 Honda Accord Hybrid Road Test
Wednesday, October 25, 2006
The Accord, Hondas elemental sedan, has for many years been listed as a best buy in its class. It consistently scores top marks and sets the bar for other machines to match, though at first glance it might be difficult to understand why. There are quicker and flashier cars in the same arena. A Nissan Altima is sportier, while a Hyundai Sonata is less expensive. Mazda's 6 is better looking, and the Ford Fusion is more fun to drive. But machines are few and far between that can better the Accords build quality and the peace of mind its customers love.

2006 Honda Accord Hybrid Road Test
Wednesday, August 23, 2006
The hybrid debate continues. Are they worth it? Do you in fact save money? What are they like to drive? Do they represent a viable option for those, like you and I, who want to reduce their gas bill and help out the environment? If we read the newspapers and the web, we get very different messages. One of the most recent items of news that I have read had to do with fuel cell technology trumping hybrids. What is one to do? Anyhow, let us get back to the matter at hand.

2005 Honda Accord Hybrid (Video Clip)
Monday, June 20, 2005
There is no doubting that the horsepower war is back on. The American manufacturers are up to their old tricks with large displacement engines and RWD drivetrains not unlike 40 years ago. This time around though, the Japanese are part of the game. They certainly now have their share of V8 engines but they are mostly reserved for high-end luxury cars or trucks. Their approach consists of "hybridising" strong engines that are already in their common car line-up. Let us take the Lexus RX400h for example. The combination of the V6 engine and the electric motor not only reduce fuel consumption and harmful emissions, the combination actually develops more horsepower and, by default, quicker acceleration times.

2005 Honda Accord EX-V6 6-speed (Video Clip)
Sunday, May 22, 2005
2001 was a very sad year for Honda sporty car enthusiasts. Not only did they loose the Acura Integra and more importantly the Type-R to the RSX, but Honda pulled the plug on their very desirable GT coupe: The Prelude. This car enjoyed a long career that spanned back to 1979 when it was basically a 2-door Accord. Five generations later, Honda decided to can the Prelude as sales had been on a steady decline for a few years and importing them was becoming too expensive.

2005 Accord EX-L
Saturday, January 08, 2005
The Accord is a major contender in one of the hottest, most competitive car segments. In the past, with opponents such as the Ford Taurus and the unavoidable Toyota Camry, Honda has had to contend with larger and more powerful foes. Honda has always been able to hold its own though with its style, quality and reliability. The present-day Accord is no exception; Honda has come up with yet another winning recipe. In 2003, the latest version of the Accord came our way. Bigger and mightier than ever, the new Accord has more flair and panache than the Camry and Taurus with engines that boast more horsepower. Honda is evermore closing in on Toyota, DaimlerChrysler and Ford in total sales in Canada. The Civic obviously plays a huge role but the Accord is the next step after consumers outgrow their Civics.

Honda Announces 2003 Accord Coupe Prices
Tuesday, October 01, 2002
The prices of the all-new 2003 Honda Accord Coupe were announced by Honda Canada Inc. today. With Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Prices starting at $25,200, the all-new Accord Coupe will arrive at Honda dealerships early November. Completely redesigned to further differentiate it from the Accord Sedan, the Coupe benefits from a more aggressive style that is entirely unique - none of the sheet metal is shared between Coupe and Sedan. While taking styling cues from the sporty S2000 roadster, detailed attention was paid to the Accord Coupe's aerodynamics that resulted in a coefficient drag of 0.29, making it one of the most "slippery" 5-passenger coupes available. Aiding to create a sportier driving dynamic, chassis dimensions - such as width and wheelbase - also differentiate the Coupe.
