2008 Hyundai Azera Limited Review
Friday, October 24, 2008
Ever since the Azera was first launched in 2006, I've been itching to get behind the wheel of one, but you know how things go, there's always something else to do. Of course, I've had opportunities to drive it at various events, but I thought that in order to give it a fair evaluation, I'd wait until I could book one for a whole week! After all, as I see it, the Azera was the model which first heralded in the idea of luxury products from Hyundai.

2008 Hyundai Azera Limited Review
Monday, May 26, 2008
The Azera is Hyundai's full-size flagship luxury sedan. It's a spacious V6-powered, front-wheel-drive four-dour capable of transporting five adults in generous comfort. It's unlikely anyone will quarrel over the Azera's styling, it's sufficiently conservative to be considered inoffensive yet distinct enough to catch the eye; it's also masks quite effectively the vehicle's size, which is approximately 2-inches longer in overall length than the "larger for 2008" Honda Accord. Whether its exterior presentation is exciting enough to induce heart palpitations or not, the Azera is a nicely proportioned, accurately assembled sedan. My guess is that its lines were intended to please a North American market; a market that might otherwise look to Buick in an effort to quench its taste.

2006 Hyundai Azera Road Test
Saturday, May 06, 2006
Hyundai hit a hole in one. First, it replaced the marvellously forgettable XG350 by an all-new sedan. Then, this new car distinguishes itself in the AJAC's annual 'Best new Family Car Over $35,000' category test. The Azera beat out great rivals such as the Toyota Avalon, the Audi A4 Avant, The Buick Lucerne, The Dodge Charger R/T and the BMW 325xi Touring.

2006 Hyundai Azera Road Test
Sunday, December 25, 2005
Not many years ago if someone recommended a Hyundai product to a luxury car buyer, he or she would be thought of as mad and in need of immediate psychiatric intervention. Now with the arrival of the 2006 Azera, that individual may well be characterized as a visionary. What a difference a few years can make to a car company and a person's apparent sanity. The Korean-manufactured Azera - which was just named Best New Family

2006 Hyundai Azera Road Test
Wednesday, November 30, 2005
When I first saw Hyundai's new Azera in photos last winter, then presented as the Grandeur being that it was initially introduced to European audiences at the Geneva Motor Salon, it appeared mighty attractive in its silver-blue paint scheme. And when compared to the somewhat derivative XG 350 that it replaces, I have to say that seeing it in the metal hasn't completely changed my opinion.

Gone is the dash-mounted flower vase in the latest version of Volkswagen's Bug. Gone too is much of its cutesiness, replaced by a notable degree of sportiness intended to broaden the Beetle's target market by attracting male attention.
