2013 Mercedes-Benz B-Class First Impressions
Monday, October 17, 2011
As with the Range Rover Evoque, the luxury car-maker game is changing. If going down-market is a new thing for Rover, Mercedes more or less instigated the fight by covering nearly every class (pun fully intended) in the mid-'90s when they introduced the A-Class.

2011 Mercedes-Benz B 200 Turbo Review
Saturday, September 24, 2011
"What is it? Is that really a Mercedes?" It was something I heard many times during my week with the Mercedes Benz B 200 Turbo. To most people, the Mercedes-Benz name represents luxury and prestige; the three-pointed star a symbol of how well they've been able to reward themselves for their achievements.

2012 Mercedes-Benz B-Class gets a fresh start
Thursday, August 25, 2011
The new B-Class from Mercedes-Benz is said to be very different from the outgoing model. So different, in fact, that the German brand is calling the redesign "a quantum leap".

2009 Mercedes-Benz B200 Turbo Review
Tuesday, January 27, 2009
Mercedes-Benz has built a strong reputation in North America... and it needs to stay that way. Sporty or not, the various models in the portfolio are either very luxurious (think S-Class), impeccably designed (CLS-Class) or supremely comfortable (GLK-Class). Company executives are awfully proud of this image, and they're quite aware that such refinement needs to trickle down to smaller products in the lineup, even entry-level cars.

2008 Mercedes-Benz B200 Turbo Review
Sunday, October 12, 2008
Mercedes' three-pointed star has a therapeutic effect. It brings people together and help them share their opinions. One of my cousins, for instance, felt obligated to stop by my house (which he very seldom does despite living just two blocks away) when he spotted this little black car in my driveway.

B-Class and C-Class pricing to remain unchanged
Thursday, July 31, 2008
For 2009, the Mercedes B200 lineup has been face-lifted and given additional standard features- though its price will remain unchanged from the 2008 model car. The C-Class has been updated with more standard features as well, and its price will also remain the same. The folks at Mercedes say the added features will create more value for their customers.

2008 Mercedes-Benz B200 Review
Thursday, August 14, 2008
The entry-level Mercedes-Benz in Canada is the economical B200. Mercedes-Benz refers to this tall four-door wagon as a Compact Sports Tourer. Due to financial markets, you won't find this attractive unit in the US; for the time being, it's a Canada-exclusive North American offering. The B200 exhibits design language typical of Mercedes-Benz of late.

Check out the video fore more info.

5000th B-Class delivered to Laval customer
Monday, August 20, 2007
Mercedes-Benz delivered the 5000th B-Class compact sport-tourer to a Laval Quebec woman earlier this month. Maria Zampini had been looking for a car that could meet a wide variety of needs, and decided on the B-Class- despite being new to the Mercedes brand.

2007 Mercedes-Benz B200 Road Test
Monday, August 13, 2007
Loyal Mercedes-Benz owners must be having a hard time lately. Their cars probably had reliability issues, although the situation seems to be improving year after year. Worse, though, is that the company launched the B-Class in Canada last year, which probably made quite a few S-Class owners unhappy, as their favourite brand is now selling a hatchback.

2007 Mercedes-Benz B200 Turbo Road Test
Thursday, August 02, 2007
It doesn't look like your grandpa's Mercedes now does it? Indeed, things have changed. The B200 doesn't come standard with leather seating, isn't a low-slung coupe or aggressively poised sedan, and it drives the front, not the rear wheels. It isn't even unaffordable to most folks- with a nicely loaded sticker under $40,000.

2006 Mercedes-Benz B 200 Turbo Road Test
Wednesday, July 26, 2006
Always wanting to offer more, car builders have become very crafty. Nowadays, every thing goes: luxury minivans, high-performance SUVs, etc. The vehicle that I will talk to you about is a compact people mover from one of the most recognizable luxury carmakers in the world. In essence, this vehicle could be seen as a beginner's type luxury car or as a third set of wheels for the kids.

2006 Mercedes-Benz B 200 Road Test
Wednesday, March 29, 2006
About a decade ago Mercedes-Benz sold only four models in North America, but now the German company seems to be popping them out like candies from a Pez dispenser.

Plastic wheel covers over steel wheels; cloth seats (non-heated, non-power); no sunroof; 134-horsepower, 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine with 136 lb-ft of torque; 5-speed manual transmission; front-wheel drive; 0 to 100 km/h in 10.3 seconds; an AM/FM radio with a single in-dash CD player; no tilt or telescopic steering column; manual tint rearview mirror; non-lit vanity mirrors; any guess which car I'm talking about? A Honda, Hyundai, Kia,

2006 Mercedes-Benz B200 Road Test
Thursday, October 27, 2005
The second wave of a Teutonic assault has made a beachhead on North American shores. Hot on the skinny wheels of the smart car's debut last year in Canada, Mercedes-Benz, the auto giant behind the smart brand (lower case intentional), ups the commuter car ante with the B-Class. So much more than a 'Mercedes Echo,' as one well-dressed man quipped to me in reference to Toyota's compact commuter, the B-Class

Gone is the dash-mounted flower vase in the latest version of Volkswagen's Bug. Gone too is much of its cutesiness, replaced by a notable degree of sportiness intended to broaden the Beetle's target market by attracting male attention.
