2012 Porsche Cayman R Review (video)
Wednesday, December 28, 2011
Nissan GT-R, Genesis R-Spec, Volvo R-Design, Jaguar XKR, Integra Type R, Mercedes SLR, Golf R, Audi TT RS; the list goes on and on. Why is "R" so rad? Because race car. All kidding aside, "R" is equal to yesterday's GT and SS. In fact and in some cases, it's more because GT is emphasized by an "R". So was SS but that's not a good example...

Saturday, October 09, 2010
MISSISSAUGA - Staring late this February, a fleet of 20 Porsche
Caymans and 911 Carrera models can be found carving through the snow, engines singing and lights ablaze, in blatant defiance of conventional wisdom that says high-performance sports cars should be garaged for the winter.

Drive a Porsche in winter? Yes you can
Sunday, February 21, 2010
The answer to this question would definitely not have been the same 15 years ago. To some, driving a Porsche through slush and snow is a sin, while others just think it's hazardous. The 911 has a reputation of being a tricky car to drive with its rear-drive, rear-engine configuration, but that's changed. Sort of.

Part II: Slipping and Sliding (On Purpose!)
Monday, February 08, 2010
Last time I wanted to discuss slipping and sliding-- it was largely to vocalize that I didn't feel that the indicator light served a respectable purpose. Today I have something quite different to discuss-- how much fun it can be to drive in (controlled) conditions where that particular light stays on the whole time!

2009 Porsche Cayman S Review
Sunday, December 13, 2009
Anytime you drive a Porsche (sorry for those who haven't!), you feel like you're sitting behind the wheel of one of the world's finest automobiles... provided, of course, that you dig the brand's extreme sportiness and racing tradition. The 911 Carrera, the Boxster and my recent tester, the Cayman S, all have a distinct personality. However, I must say that the latter did not prove to be as satisfying as I initially hoped.

2009 Porsche Cayman S Review
Friday, November 27, 2009
Nearly everyone agrees that the Porsche Cayman/Boxster duo is one of the most dynamic in the industry. It's not hard to imagine oneself zipping down a country lane behind the wheel of one of these babies.

2009 Porsche Cayman Review
Tuesday, September 29, 2009
Let's pretend that it is easy to be impartial in any walk of life. If you are attending an event where a friend or a family member is competing, is it possible to cheer on the opponent? It would seem wrong wouldn't it? When Tiger Woods steps into the tee-box, do you not want him to seriously slug the heck out of the ball every time? The point I'm attempting to get at is that we all have favorites. In autodom, Porsche is undeniably a darling.

2008 Porsche Cayman S Review
Sunday, November 30, 2008
When the flat-six engine bolted to the middle of the Porsche Cayman S first fires up, it makes a lumpy, erratic and hoarse noise that nearly brings its health to question. For a car that pays homage to Porsche's great mid-engine racers of the past, it sounds more than a bit out of place. Thing is, any good singer needs a moment to warm their vocal cords before a performance. Some even say the added sound effects are part of the boxer engine's charm. Indeed, the sweet song that ensues is well worth the wait for operating temperature.

It's raining Porsche special editions
Thursday, October 02, 2008
The Paris show seems promising for Porsche: other than the Cayenne S Transsyberia, the manufacturer will be presenting no less than three other versions of its popular models. 2008 Porsche Cayman S Review
Friday, August 29, 2008
The Porsche Cayman S is a pure driver's car. With a 6-speed manual gearbox and 295 horsepower, it can either be docile like a German Shepherd or ferocious like a roaring lion. It loves highways and byroads. Plus, cargo capacity is pretty decent, which is rare for such a sports car.

2008 Porsche Cayman S Review
Tuesday, June 10, 2008
When you're a kid and a precocious small-scale race car enthusiast, you always pick the sporty-looking coupe because you want to go faster than everybody else. The name written underneath the toy is usually Porsche or Ferrari. You dream of owning the former when you get older, while the latter is nothing more than, well, a dream.

2007 Porsche Cayman Road Test
Tuesday, April 03, 2007
Following my road test of the Porsche Cayman S a couple of weeks ago, I expressed some concerns about the styling and sometimes delicate handling. Then, in March, I drove the base Cayman with Michelin Pilot Sport Alpin tires. My opinion changed when I experienced its excellent fuel economy and driving fun, even during winter.

2006 Porsche Cayman S Road Test
Wednesday, December 27, 2006
I have somewhat mixed feelings about the Cayman S. Porsche's intention was to offer a coupe between the Bosxter and the 911. The car's lines seem to appeal to enthusiasts, who find the design beautiful. I've heard many people shout ''Wow!''. Personally, I think I prefer the Boxster S. In fact, both have familiar traits, most notably the big fog lights. With its bubble roofline, the car reminds me of the Audi TT.

2006 Porsche Cayman S Road & Track Test
Saturday, December 31, 2005
Yes, it's time again for a revised list of New Year's resolutions: 1) Go to the gym three times per week. 2) Eat healthier, with more fruits and vegetables and less sugar. 3) Be kinder and more loving to my family. 4) Be kinder and more loving to myself, and show this love by buying a new Porsche. Hmmm... that last one might just be possible to keep - OK the last two.
