Cruising the legendary Croisette boulevard through Cannes in the French Riviera, we follow the lovely Cote D'Azur coastline. On one side, the heartbreakingly beautiful bay with its sandy beaches and enormous yachts, on the other, exclusive boutiques and sidewalks bustling with an astonishing array of casually chic shoppers. We pass by the surprisingly plain Palais des Festivals of Cannes, where just a week prior, films stars and glitterati strutted their finest on the red carpet.

Vienna, Austria - I was screaming my lungs out as I entered the streets of the Austrian capital. The Harman Kardon premium surround sound system was blasting techno rock, courtesy of Linkin' Park, through the open windows of my 2009 Mercedes-Benz CL550 luxury coupe. I was sure to garner a lot of attention.

I seldom have the opportunity to drive cars that are as beautiful and as prestigious as the new CL-Class from Mercedes-Benz. Simply put, the CL550 is a visual masterpiece. Inspired from the newly-revamped S-Class, this premium 2-door coupe is equally well executed and -- if such thing is possible -- even more sophisticated. And while it lost a couple of doors, it's still only 30-cm shorter overall.

Drop a V12 into pretty much anything with only four wheels and it will be interesting, but make it a twin-turbo V12 good for 604 hp and 738 lb.-ft. of torque in a pair of high-class Mercedes two-doors and interesting doesn't cover it.
