2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG Review (video)
Sunday, January 29, 2012
There are plenty of high-dollar thrill machines out there you could buy. Driveway jewelry such as an Audi R8 5.2, an Aston Martin Rapide or a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG are very effective accessories to help you show off in front of your neighbours.

2012 Mercedes CLS63 AMG First Impressions
Friday, January 21, 2011
Apparently, the lady scowling aggressively at me from her Prius wasn't impressed by the "V8 BITURBO" badge fixed to the side of the new CLS63 AMG. German posh-rocket hot-rods like this aren't doing Mother Nature any favors to be sure--but the folks at Mercedes-Benz's AMG division are digging in and doing their part for the environment, too.

2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class First Impressions
Monday, October 04, 2010
As I was walking the show floor at last week's 2010 Mondial de l'Auto in Paris, I was severely struck with anxiety. Strolling through Peugeot's, Renault's, Mercedes', BMW's and other European makers' stands; I could scarcely believe the effort that was put into every car's styling. Anxiety, because I would not want to be the next guy or gal that has to redesign the next version of the Renault Megane, Audi TT or, in this case, the Mercedes CLS-Class. Imagine the expectations!

2010 Paris Motor Show: New Mercedez-Benz CLS-Class is star of the show
Thursday, September 30, 2010
This is the sensual CLS' first facelift since its inception in 2006. The 2012 CLS somewhat looses some of the original's sleek lines, especially up front, but sacrifices nothing where prestige and stance are concerned. Read Matt St-Pierre's first impressions review in the next few days.

A generation ahead: The CLS-Class created a new vehicle category in 2003 by combining the elegance and expressiveness of a coupé with the comfort and functionality of a sedan. The CLS delighted the public, astounded the competition and created a new style icon: for years the CLS has endured as the only four-door coupé in its class, and since October 2004 it has been the car of choice for around 170,000 buyers worldwide.

2009 Mercedes-Benz CLS550 Review
Tuesday, September 16, 2008
The Mercedes-Benz CLS is a bit of everything. The first thing that strikes you, obviously, is the unique silhouette, the finesse of which has been unmatched for many years. Then, after a while, you realize that the CLS is essentially the RuPaul of the auto industry; no one knows for sure if it's a sedan or a coupe. And when you finally turn the key and depress the throttle, the lovely purr of the 5.5-liter V8 turns into an emphatic roar.

The 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL, SLK and CLS are now available (video)
Thursday, July 17, 2008
Mercedes-Benz Canada invited journalists to Montreal to test-drive three new exciting models: the 2009 SL and SLK sports convertibles as well as the 2009 CLS four-door coupe. All three have been revised to varying degrees, both in terms of aesthetics and interior layout. First, they get a newly-engineered Direct Drive steering system offering quicker response at low speed, in sharp turns and during parking maneuvers.

2008 Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG Review
Wednesday, July 30, 2008
If ever there was a brash, yet sophisticated sedan capable of turning heads while "taking no prisoners" on the road, this is it. The CLS63 AMG is the higher performance version of a high performance luxury sedan that cuts new, daring lines in the oft-staid world of four-door transportation. The brazen coupe-like styling of the CLS63 AMG must surely shake the "other" German super-car builder to its very unibody core.

2009 Mercedes-Benz CLS First Impressions
Tuesday, April 15, 2008
Vienna, Austria - It wasn't the symphony of Strauss or the romantic notes of Mozart that floated in the Austrian air but rather a unique purr coming from the new exhaust system of the 2009 Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG. Or was it the CLS550's more subtle sound? Anyway, we were in the beautiful capital of Austria to put the German brand's newly redesigned and gorgeous 4-door coupes to the test.

2006 Mercedes-Benz CLS 500
Tuesday, July 04, 2006
Design is everything. Let us not fool ourselves. Many of us are superficial and we do judge things based on their appearance. Sometimes, the impression that is given is right and sometimes, it is not. Mercedes-Benz has bet the farm on the portion of people that immediately make up their mind when an item catches their eye. In the case of the CLS, Mercedes-Benz scored really big.

2006 Mercedes CLS500 Road Test
Friday, September 09, 2005
The truth hit with clarity, and it did so at about 120 km/h on the Upper Levels Highway in North Vancouver, the city in which I live. That truth is this: the 2006 Mercedes CLS500 is worth every red cent (red Euro, really) that Mercedes-Benz engineers spent on wind tunnel testing the sweet exterior lines of this remarkable "four-door coupe."

2006 Mercedes-Benz CLS 500 Road Test
Wednesday, July 20, 2005
If you remember your high school prom night, you may also remember the astonishment of witnessing some of your classmates dressed to the nines in swirly dresses and sharp creased tuxedos. Classmates you may have overlooked on a daily basis all of a sudden appeared different, more sophisticated, some even sexier.

Gone is the dash-mounted flower vase in the latest version of Volkswagen's Bug. Gone too is much of its cutesiness, replaced by a notable degree of sportiness intended to broaden the Beetle's target market by attracting male attention.
