2012 Honda Crosstour EX-L 4WD NAVI Review
Tuesday, April 17, 2012
Remember the Honda Accord Wagon from back in the day? The 2012 Honda Crosstour is sort of its modern-day reincarnation. Nothing on four wheels was more level-headed than a Honda Accord Wagon. Good on fuel, reliable and ready for the "fam," it was one of the ultimate sensible haulers of all time.

2012 Honda CR-V Touring Review
Wednesday, April 11, 2012
Only the Ford Escape sold in greater numbers than the Honda CR-V in the U.S. in 2011. In Canada, the CR-V finished the year in third place behind the Escape and the Dodge Journey. When your vehicle sells as well and it's due for a redesign, you're obviously very cautious about what should change and what should stay the same.

2012 Nissan Juke SL AWD Review
Wednesday, April 04, 2012
I can imagine a bunch of manufacturers sitting around in a treehouse, or hanging out in the back alley of the 7-eleven, trying to figure out who's the bravest of the gang while they chug down their slurpees and complain about frozen foreheads.

2012 BMW X1 xDrive28i Review
Monday, January 16, 2012
BMW recently introduced the world to a compact SAV. And what's that? you ask. It's BMW acronym for "Sport Activity Vehicle." What's a Sport Activity Vehicle? It's whatever you want it to be. Whether you live an active lifestyle or something more mundane, the X1 may be your ideal ride provided your wallet can sustain a $40K hit. If that's the case, there's good reason to read on.

2013 Mazda CX-5 First Impressions
Thursday, November 24, 2011
Our road skirts around the edges of the Tujunga Valley, past modest stucco houses surrounded by scrubby ranch land and twisted orchards. 2006-2009 Pontiac Torrent Pre-Owned
Saturday, November 05, 2011
Torrent was Pontiac's entry in what would become a crowded and competitive crossover SUV marketplace. It hit our streets as a 2006 model, alongside the mechanically identical Chevrolet Equinox, to replace the aging Chevy Blazer with a more agile, car-like and efficient machine. Used vehicle shoppers after a decent, relatively large crossover without the high prices of comparable Japanese models will likely gravitate towards it.

2012 Kia Soul First Impressions
Thursday, October 06, 2011
When the Kia Soul first came out in the spring of 2009, it didn't really get my attention. It looked kind of funny and I honestly didn't think that it would be very popular. But once I spent time behind the wheel, I realized that its funkiness was unique and it indeed had some desirable features.

2011 Kia Soul 4u Luxury Review
Wednesday, September 28, 2011
Introduced in the summer of '09 as a 2010 model, the compact Soul cute-'ute seems to have struck a chord in the hearts of people looking for an affordable truck. Truthfully, there are about zero truck parts that make up the Soul, but it does offer a high riding position, a jacked-up stance and cheery good looks to complement the package.

Thursday, April 28, 2011
If this car would have been unveiled on April Fool's day, no one would have fell for it. Here we go again, another vehicle that hits Nissan's showroom floors without any clue as to how to categorize it. Last year, I classified the cube as a thingamabob, so the Juke falls in the doohickey category.

2011 Honda Odyssey Touring and Accord Crosstour EX-L 4WD NAVI Review
Friday, April 08, 2011
Honda. As I say it out loud here in my home office, I can't help but feel confused, sad and partially frustrated. In my so far brief 12-year career as an auto critic, I have still managed to evaluate nearly three dozen Hondas. In that period of time, I've test driven three generations of the Civic, two of the Accord, CR-V, Pilot, Fit, Insight and Odyssey and one of the Ridgeline, Element, CR-Z and Crosstour.

2011 Nissan Juke SL AWD Review (video)
Monday, March 07, 2011
Typically formatted car reviews be damned! Every so often, your writer drives a vehicle so unique, curious and out of place that it attracts crowds at gas stations, at the gym and in coffee shop parking lots. Many members of said crowds ask the same questions repeatedly--and when that's the case, a simple 'Q&A' session often seems more appropriate.
