As part of its 60th anniversary celebration, Porsche Cars North America embarked on a quest to find the oldest Porsche sold in America. The Porsche Classic Search, conducted online at www.Porsche60Years.com, encouraged individuals from coast to coast to submit documentation that his or her Porsche was one of the earliest in its category to be retailed on American soil. With awards and bragging rights at stake, the call for entries yielded an impressive collection of finalists, including the oldest U.S. - retailed model found, a lovingly restored 1952 Strawberry Red 356 Cabriolet.

An exceptional event took place on August 15th as part of the 60th Pebble Beach Concours d'Élégance, in California. Not one but 12 of the 16 Jaguar XK-SS produced in 1957 were brought together for a unique display. According to experts, there has never been that many copies of the XK-SS in the same place at the same time... except of course, at the assembly plant that gave birth to them!

Calgary - Laval University for the second year in a row won the grand prize in the "Prototype" category at the 2010 Shell Eco-marathon Americas this past weekend in Houston, Texas. The student-built, fuel-efficient vehicle achieved the farthest distance using the least amount of fuel with an astonishing 1,057.5 kilometres per litre, or 2,487.5 miles per gallon.
