2011 Cadillac CTS4 Coupe Review (video)
Tuesday, May 17, 2011
"SICK CADILLAC!!!! Is that the one with the supercharged V8?!" I was at the gas station pumping some unleaded into the 2011 CTS4 Coupe, when an excited young gentleman spotted it and swooped in for a closer look. "Nope, just the standard car, V6" I replied.

2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe AWD Review

Cadillac is a storied brand that shaped a lot of people's automotive memories. Once the ultimate embodiment of personal success, it went through a dark period before rising back and (almost) regaining its powerful status of yore.

2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe Review
Monday, February 14, 2011
I first encountered Cadillac's CTS Coupe shortly before its debut at the 2009 Los Angeles Auto Show. Inside a graffiti-splashed, razor-wire encircled warehouse in one of L.A.'s gnarliest neighbourhoods, the coupe was unveiled, spot-lit on the bleached-oak dance floor of a chi-chi studio.

2010 Cadillac CTS4 Sport Wagon Review (video)
Monday, February 15, 2010
The CTS family is growing faster than Tiger Woods' legal bill. Cadillac kicked off their second-generation 3-Series threat with a rear or all-wheel-drive sedan, added a 556-horsepower performance model, and has just tossed a wagon into the mix, too. Look for a Coupe coming very soon as well. Like the sedan, the Sport Wagon is currently available with two V6 engines and All Wheel Drive (AWD).

2010 Cadillac CTS4 3.6L Sport Wagon Review
Friday, January 29, 2010
You would have to have lived your entire life in a cave in the farthest deepest recesses of the Sahara Desert to have never heard of Cadillac. If you are 50 years old or older, you clearly remember the status that carried the family coat of arms of the aristocrat who founded Detroit in 1701, Antoine de La Mothe, Sieur de Cadillac. If you owned and drove a Cadillac, you had made it to the top.

I love wagons!!
Thursday, February 18, 2010
I've said it before and I'll say it again: I love station wagons. A while back, I test-drove a Volkswagen Passat and a Cadillac CTS wagon. As I cruised around in these cars, I felt so smart, so much wiser than everyone. Here I was driving around in a car with as much cargo room as most other SUVs and CUVs all the while consuming much less fuel (OK, not exactly true with the Caddy) but you get the point.

Cadillac CTS adds WiFi: Auto123.com's reaction
Thursday, March 19, 2009
Although wireless Internet is not a bad thing at all, using it in a motor vehicle might be. GM can claim that their system is designed for use by passengers, the only person who would really need it, and will use it most, is the driver. There already are too many distractions in a techno-filled vehicle to divert the person behind the wheel's attention, such as Bluetooth, navigation systems as well as lane-departure and blind-spot monitors.

2009 Cadillac CTS-V First Impressions
Tuesday, December 09, 2008
Okay, I have so much to tell you about the new 2009 Cadillac CTS-V that I don't know where to start. First, there's the outrageous power that makes it the fastest production sedan ever produced by a domestic manufacturer. Then there are the incredible sound effects and driving dynamics, not to mention the fact that it's the first serious American threat to the German performance leaders.

The new SRX is based on the Provoq concept, presented at the Detroit Auto Show in 2008. It will be assembled on the Theta platform, namely used by the Suzuki XL7 and the Saturn Vue. However, the platform had to be slightly modified, its dimensions increased, in order to accommodate the 2010 SRX.

2003-2007 Cadillac CTS Pre-Owned
Saturday, July 26, 2008
When the Cadillac CTS was introduced in 2002 for the 2003 model year, it boasted a rear wheel drive setup with a manual transmission riding on GM's stiff, strong Sigma platform. CTS was a cost-effective alternative to a European machine for its North-American buyers, and it competed largely with the likes of BMW, Audi and Mercedes. It was the first Cadillac in quite some time to really show that GM's luxury brand was really pulling up their socks.

Cadillac CTS-V scorches the Nurburgring
Tuesday, May 13, 2008
As if upcoming owners of the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V won't have enough bragging rights with its advanced technologies and 550 horsepower engine, it's just set lap-time at Nurburgring which puts it into 'world's fastest sedan' territory. John Heinricy, a celebrated racing driver and GM Performance Division executive, pushed the car to a 7:59.32 lap during testing this Saturday morning. The time broke the 8-minute barrier and earned the car a place as the fastest production sedan ever tested at Nurburgring. You can nearly hear the German's fuming.

First 2009 Cadillac CTS-V auctioned off to charity
Monday, April 21, 2008
Generally speaking, 550 horsepower luxury performance sedans aren't intended to do good deeds. Cadillac's 2009 CTS-V has just done it's one and only though, benefitting the Prostate Cancer Foundation by earning a winning bid of $75,000 at a special charity auction last night. Cano Ozgener is the CTS-V's happy new owner, and the founder of CAO International, a premium cigar producer.

2008 Cadillac CTS SIDI Review
Tuesday, March 11, 2008
When Cadillac introduced the CTS in the fall of 2002, they understood an important thing: to measure up to the Germans, you have to offer something different than what people expect from a Caddy. For the smallest model of the lineup, at least, they had to produce a car that didn't have a flaccid suspension or baroque proportions, like the company usually did in the past. And that's what they did.

Detroit 2008: Cadillac displays CTS-V, Provoq and CTS Coupe Concept (video)
Monday, January 14, 2008
There was a time when horsepower ratings around 300 were enough to qualify a sedan as being really, really powerful. Thankfully, those days are gone- and the upcoming "V" designated Cadillac CTS expands on the style and performance of the standard V6 model with a supercharged engine and a whopping 550 horsepower.

2008 Cadillac CTS SIDI Road Test
Thursday, December 20, 2007
One of the very first vehicles that I ever drove in Canada was a Cadillac. Oh yes, a white Eldorado Biarritz convertible, with a white roof and white interior, talk about a pose-mobile! No, I wasn't a stand-in driver for Boss Hog of the Dukes of Hazard fame, it actually belonged to a friend of mine.

2008 Cadillac CTS4 SIDI Road Test
Monday, February 04, 2008
Many cars have organic, flowing lines and appear as if they've been molded out of a soft piece of soft clay, but Cadillac's new CTS takes a different approach - it looks like it was chipped out of a piece of diamond. The body is full of sharp edges joining flat surfaces, and metallic accenting is presented throughout.

2008 Cadillac CTS SIDI Road Test
Thursday, November 29, 2007
The Cadillac CTS was first introduced in 2003 as Cadillac's entry-level, premium sports sedan. 2008 finds us with a completely new version of this atypical Caddy, more inline with its European rivals. As if spending time in the gym while on the juice, the latest CTS is far more muscular in both appearance and performance.

2008 Cadillac CTS First Impressions
Saturday, September 08, 2007
Blainville, Quebec--I always liked the look of the first CTS, because it stood out in the crowd of luxury sport sedans. Redesigned, the new generation of Cadillac's smallest offering is giving us an eyeful, once again. We were invited to try out the new 2008 CTS, although it was a very brief drive; too short even to get a good impression of the vehicle. However, we did note some nice things about the car.

Competitive pricing for newly powered and restyled CTS
Thursday, August 09, 2007
Cadillac's entry level model, the CTS, has been restyled, re-powered and given new options for the 2008 model year. It comes with new drivetrains and a more modern interior as well. Power comes from two variations of GM's 3.6 litre V6 engine. The standard 263 horsepower unit is highly regarded for smoothness and efficiency, and utilizes variable cam timing for a versatile and step-less powercurve. When equipped with direct injection, power jumps to 304 horses. That's impressive output, especially considering drivers needn't feed it expensive premium fuel.

2008 Cadillac CTS at the 2007 Toronto Auto Show (VIDEO)
Wednesday, February 14, 2007
It's got new looks, but it still has the same basic squared-off shape that distinguished it from the luxury crowd back in 2003 but this time, it has evolved into a more menacing sports luxury sedan with a new oversized front fascia . With improvements across the board, the new CTS is about the same size as before, but with a slightly wider stance. The interior now uses more luxurious materials. Power comes from GM's 3.6-liter V6 that develops 258 horsepower, and is paired to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. There will also be a higher-output version with direct injection of the 3.6 that will put out 300 horsepower. The base 2.8-liter V6 will no longer be offered.

2008 Cadillac CTS to be revealed at NAIAS
Thursday, December 21, 2006
Since it's inception back in 2002, the Cadillac CTS has been quite a success story. For that reason, it's little wonder why the GM Canada team is so excited to provide fans a sneak peek at the new 2008 model, which is set to arrive in dealerships in the fall of 2007.

2004 Cadillac CTS Road Test
Friday, December 26, 2003
For 2004 the aggressive CTS theme has finally permeated the engine bay. The all-new, St. Catherines-built 3.6-liter (220 cu in) 255 horsepower V6, featuring variable valve timing (VVT), has given CTS performance to match its styling. The base V6 engine in the CTS remains unchanged from 2003, continuing to develop a reasonably competitive 220 horsepower.

2003 Cadillac CTS 5-Speed Road Test
Monday, June 16, 2003
When the Cadillac CTS was launched last year as a 2003 model it quickly became one of my favorite cars, at least from a design perspective. Its sharply creased contours radically stand out in a sea of bland sameness, only the Audi A4 and Infiniti G35 providing tasteful counterpoints to the safe styling approach taken by the majority of premium automakers.

2003 Cadillac CTS Road Test
Wednesday, September 11, 2002
It just seemed like yesterday when Cadillac's European engineered entry model received a mild makeover stripping it of its retro taillight bar and cleaning up its front end. Now the conservatively styled Catera has been superseded by the avant-garde CTS. Of course, one glance at Cadillac's edgy replacement and almost anything else looks dated. GM officials state that the CTS points the way to the Cadillac's future, with design cues taken from the all-new Escalade SUV, that was inspired by 1999's Evoq roadster concept, soon to be XLR, as well as more recent Imaj and Vizón concept designs.
