2012 Honda Fit Sport Review
Sunday, March 04, 2012
I jumped into my Fit Sport tester, fired it up, adjusted the mirrors, threw on the headlights and headed out of the darkened parking lot for my trip home. Whoa! The huge sheet of windshield glass combined with the triangular corner windows and door glass had me feeling like I was piloting a fishbowl or perhaps a dome car from The Canadian.

2007-2008 Honda Fit Pre-Owned
Saturday, November 19, 2011
Did you notice? Over the years, the Honda Civic got progressively larger, partly to clear room for a smaller, subcompact model beneath it in the automaker's lineup. That model, which hit Canadian roads for 2007, was called the Fit.

2012 Honda Fit gets minor facelift
Wednesday, August 17, 2011
Small yet oh-so-spacious, the Honda Fit is still a must on any subcompact buyer's shopping list. But despite its undeniable qualities, only 1,953 units were sold in July, down 55 % over last year. Faced with fierce competition from the likes of the Ford Fiesta and Hyundai Accent, the Japanese manufacturer decided to tweak the model for 2012.

2011 Honda Fit Sport Review
Tuesday, May 24, 2011
The current-generation Fit is a great little car. Yet its sales figures don't reflect how good it is, because not many people are buying it. Three reasons explain this; two are real, while the other is speculative. First, let's see what makes this car so special.

2010 Honda Fit Sport Review
Monday, July 26, 2010
Wow, are things ever heating up in the small car category. Having driven the Toyota Yaris, Nissan Versa, Volkswagen Polo, Kia Rio, Hyundai Accent, Mazda2 as well as smart fortwo within the last two years and, most recently, the Ford Fiesta, I can tell you with certainty that if you plan to be in the market for a new subcompact vehicle in the next 12 to 18 months, you will have more to chew on than ever.

Subcompact Hatchback Comparison Test
Monday, December 14, 2009
In Canada, more specifically Quebec, subcompact cars represent by far one of the most popular market segments. People love their manoeuvrability, European-inspired styling and, obviously, their exceptional fuel economy. In fact, all these criteria are important for small car buyers, who generally prefer function over form.

2009 Honda Fit Sport Review
Tuesday, January 06, 2009
The 2009 Honda Fit does not look quite like the model that was introduced back in 2007. But while the overall design has considerably evolved (jewel-like headlights, sculpted hood, exaggerated roofline, smaller rear window, new dashboard, etc.), the formula is the same. The Fit is still a great example of efficiency in terms of space and performance.

2009 Honda Fit Sport Review
Friday, November 14, 2008
Small is big these days, especially in the world of automobiles and electronics. In many ways, the Honda Fit is the consummate example of this trend. It didn't take Honda long to re-work the Fit, making it more visually striking and slightly larger overall. In addition to expanding interior real estate, increasing the Fit's body length and wheelbase allowed repositioning the windshield approximately 5-inches further forward.

2009 Honda Fit First Impressions (video)
Monday, September 15, 2008
You may be wondering why a brand-new Fit is heading into showrooms at this very moment, when the old Fit has only been in Honda's line-up for two years. That's because the outgoing model was actually launched way back in 2001 in overseas markets. In Japan, the new-generation Fit has become the country's best-selling car in the last 10 months, which should've triggered many champagne-bottle uncorkings within the halls of Honda's headquarters.

2009 Honda Fit First Impressions
Friday, September 05, 2008
As an XL sized person living in a mid-sized world, my first drive of the Fit put a grin on my face. Honda's slogan for this car should be (if it isn't already) "small on the outside and big on the inside". First impressions count for a lot and when I got into the driver's seat, I was comfortable.

2008 Honda Fit LX Review
Thursday, June 26, 2008
Gas prices continue to soar, yet all hope is not lost. There's a car out from Japan, small on the outside and big on the inside, that can edge its way through city traffic while being quite frugal on fuel. The 2008 Honda Fit lives up to the automaker's reputation for producing fuel-efficient cars. As a bonus, buyers get SUV-like cargo versatility -- seriously!

The Fit made its North-American debut at the New York Show earlier this month, and now Honda's subcompact makes its Canadian intro at the Vancouver Auto Show. Honda has totally redesigned the Fit, including a new suspension, new steering and increased body rigidity. The automaker claims that the car's fun-to-drive factor is greater than before. 15-inch wheels are standard, while the Fit Sport gets 16-inchers. There are also bigger glass surfaces for better outward visibility.

New York Auto Show: Honda
Wednesday, March 19, 2008
Although the Fit has only been on sale in North America for two years, it's actually seven years old and due for a makeover. The 2009 Fit subcompact will look unmistakably like the current-generation model, but it will be bigger in almost every dimension. The interior of the Fit will also be more spacious, with higher-quality materials as well as a tilt and telescopic steering wheel.

All new Fit will debut at New York
Monday, February 25, 2008
First launched in Japan in 2001, the Honda Fit is now produced in six factories around the world and sold in well over 100 countries. Fit hits the streets with color-keyed headlight surrounds, a pleasant and energetic fascia, and typically Japanese looking body-lines. Only offered in a hatchback model, it's ideal for easy loading and unloading of cargo, and increased rearward visibility. Long story short, a sporty and well appointed hatchback is a type of vehicle that jumps boundaries of culture and age with its unquestionable utility and fun-to-drive qualities.

Wednesday, December 12, 2007
Honda made engineering changes to the 5-speed manual transmissions of the 2008 Fit, Civic Sedan and Civic Coupe models. The resulting lower fuel economy rating (under 6.5 L/100 km) qualifies them for a $1,000 rebate as part of the federal government's 2008 ecoAUTO program.

2007 Honda Fit LX Road Test
Thursday, June 15, 2006
Every time a redesigned car comes along, it has to be better than the one it replaces. But, being more powerful, more spacious, and more environmental is not enough. Check every time a new model comes out. "Bigger! Longer! Wider!"

First Impressions: 2007 Honda Fit
Monday, April 03, 2006
I was anxious for this event. The Fit, on display at the Detroit auto show last January, impressed me with its spacious cabin wrapped in a cute diminutive body. We now have the opportunity to drive the Fit on the streets of Montreal.
