2011 Mercedes-Benz GL 350 BlueTEC 4MATIC Review
Wednesday, November 09, 2011
Large, luxury SUVs are so good at radiating wealth and consuming petroleum, we sometime forget about their other attributes. Take the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class for example. With its imposing looks and size, three rows of seating and the Mercedes-Benz star on the hood, you wouldn't expect it to cost less than 70 grand -- and it doesn't.

Thursday, April 03, 2008
The idea of a diesel-powered Mercedes might surprise some, but actually, they've been around for quite a while. The German automaker's line-up has been sprinkled with oil-burning models in Europe, but in North America, only one or two at a time crossed the ocean. But do diesel-powered cars still evoke the impression that they're smelly, noisy, dirty and underpowered? 2007 Mercedes GL320 CDI First Impressions
Monday, February 05, 2007
With a number of awards, including Motor Trend's sport utility of the year, under its belt, the GL is seriously headed towards being a very successful product for the Three-Pointed Star outfit. Last fall, I took the GL450 trough its paces and was really impressed with the truck's civility, comfort but not its fuel consumption. How do you address an issue as important as fuel economy? As if there was not previously a sufficiently large array of full-size SUVs on the market, this new Big Gun has already raised the bar in the $75,000 + range.
