While electric vehicles have yet to go on sale in Canada, Google is already trialing a Plugless Power(tm) charging station at its Mountain View, Calif. headquarters. Developed by Evatran, it's the first system of its kind to offer consumers a simple way to charge their EVs with the ease of hands-free, automatic technology.

OnStar and Google have reached an agreement that will let OnStar users search for and identify destinations using Google Maps and send those destinations to the Turn-by-Turn Navigation Service in their vehicles.

Hundreds of millions of people use it on a daily basis. The company behind the website is now a Wall Street phenomenon. What's more, North Americans are even using "google" as a verb! And, ironically, those who google "hybrid cars" over the next few months will likely find Google's name among the top search results.
