Jeep Wrangler Dragon debuts in Beijing
Sunday, April 29, 2012
Jeep brought a Dragon Wrangler concept to the Beijing show this year, integrating the iconic Chinese dragon symbol with the brand's iconic model. (Yes, we know "iconic" has become overused in the media, but in this case, it actually works!)

I'm driving a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara this week, painted pitch black and spiffed up with the MOPAR chrome package. It took me a few hours behind the wheel to remember one important aspect of owning a Jeep.

''That Car Wash Has No Soap''
Thursday, March 22, 2012
The Jeep Wrangler I'd been test-driving all week was a mess. After hours driving it through mud, muddy water, watery mud, and other off-road nastiness for photos the day before, it was time to take it home.

2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 First Impressions
Monday, November 07, 2011
The online Urban Dictionary explains "hoonage" as: "Aggressively flogging a car, but in a manner that stops just short of reckless." Not all of us are gifted enough to fully exploit a car and earn points while putting a car slideways at an intersection. Fear not, Jeep has you covered.

Jeep wants some MINI action
Monday, July 18, 2011
It was long ago decided that nothing is sacred anymore. Porsche's got an SUV, Ferrari's got a wagon and now Jeep will get a tiny un-Jeep-like car with a 7-slat grille. What about the Patriot and Compass you say? Well, they lowered the "bar" in a way and have paved the way for what is internally known as the "SS."

Jeep lacks funds to develop Gladiator pickup
Tuesday, June 28, 2011
Ask anyone to name a rugged vehicle that can endure the worst possible treatment and Jeep will probably be their #1 answer. But while the brand's 'Trail Rated' products boast legendary off-road capabilities, pickup truck lovers still can't get what they're looking for.

2011 Jeep Compass North Edition Review
Thursday, June 16, 2011
When it comes to Jeep, I'm a huge Wrangler fan. The fewer doors and the more mud it has, the better. That's a real Jeep. It's rough, it's tough, it's hardcore to the chassis. Take it anywhere, drive it over any surface and it's going to give it its all. What a man's vehicle.

2011 Jeep Compass North Edition Review
Monday, May 23, 2011
There are a number of significant changes to the Grand Cherokee's little sidekick for 2011, the most notable of which enabled the economical Jeep Compass to earn its "Trail Rated" badge. From the nose, the 2011 Compass looks remarkably similar to the Grand Cherokee, and that's no accident. The Grand Cherokee was smartly restyled for 2010, and the outcome has been highly praised; cashing in on that success only makes sense.

2007-2010 Jeep Compass Pre-Owned
Saturday, May 14, 2011
The Compass isn't universally loved by hardcore Jeep owners; many of whom say the compact model amounts to a rebadged Dodge Caliber. Though Compass wasn't a die-hard mud-slinger like its siblings, it intended to attract a new buyer to the Jeep brand with its fuel efficiency, city-friendly sizing and promise of affordable adventure.

2011 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Review
Friday, March 04, 2011
Let's face it: you must have a thing for pain and misery if you drive a Jeep Wrangler on a daily basis. Tight interior, limited access, average accelerations... you kind of get used to it over time, but it doesn't change the fact that this Jeep seems stuck in neutral (and has been since WWII ended 66 years ago) while the rest of the auto industry is surging forward in top gear.

2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Review

2005-2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee Pre-Owned
Saturday, December 04, 2010
Chrysler's marketing folks would like you to think that the Grand Cherokee is a Jeep--and not an SUV or crossover. Reality is that this model competed, in one way or another, with such machinery as the Honda Pilot, Toyota 4Runner and Highlander, Ford Explorer and Chevrolet Trail Blazer. All were five-door, family-ready utility vehicles that offered four wheel drive and V6 power to help navigate through a slew of Canadian driving conditions.

2010 Jeep Compass North Edition Review
Wednesday, September 29, 2010
The Compass might look a little too cute and toyish to be wearing a Jeep badge-- but it remains a hard-working little 4x4 that's bringing a whole new buyer to Jeep's showrooms. Unlike its larger brand siblings that specialize in tossing turf and climbing rocks, the little Compass has far more modest intentions in mind.

Crossovers are the modern evolution of traditional sport utility vehicles -- kind of new-millennium four-wheel Swiss knives! Over the past few years, this type of vehicle has gotten more and more diversified technically as well as aesthetically. In some cases, they even copy certain parts of passenger cars. No wonder consumers often get confused!

Sausalito, California - I can't claim credit for uttering the quip, "putting the grand back in Grand Cherokee." That line belongs to Reid Bigland, President and CEO of Chrysler Canada. What I can say, is that after examining and driving Jeep's all-new 2011 Grand Cherokee, the "grand" is back in a grandiose way.

2010 Jeep Patriot 4WD North Edition Review
Tuesday, June 29, 2010
One of the casualties of restructuring is often the media relations budget and Chrysler/Jeep is no different. The budget for a media fleet was reduced significantly and many journalists were left without products to review. Fortunately for me, Saskatoon has a dealer body second to none and they volunteered to let me test (abuse??) one of their Jeep Patriots with the North Package.

2010 Jeep Commander Limited Review

They have been designing and manufacturing vehicle enhancement products for over thirty years, and currently produce hundreds of products for vehicles such as the Smart car, Hummers, big rigs and even fire trucks. 2009 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara Review
Wednesday, March 04, 2009
Let me say right off the bat that my time behind the wheel of the Jeep Wrangler was spent in an environment not suited to the vehicle's strengths. Designed first and foremost for the trails and unpaved terrains, the Wrangler is one heck of a performer. However, the test conditions did not allow for off-road excursions.

2009 Jeep Compass Limited 4WD Review
Thursday, February 05, 2009
The Jeep Compass is like the little kid who looks up to his big brother and wants to be exactly like him. However, aspiring to be a grown-up and acting like one are two different things. If both do not go hand in hand, there's something missing. In the case of the Compass, it's a big something: this vehicle has the looks of a Jeep but not the capabilities that have made the brand famous

2009 Jeep Patriot North 4WD Review
Friday, January 02, 2009
A first impression is hard to change. When you meet someone for the first time, it supposedly takes about 30 seconds to make an idea in your mind of what kind of person is standing in front of you, and if you like that person or not. The same goes for cars and trucks. Walk in a dealership and spot the vehicle you're interested in. After a few seconds, if the exterior shape pleases you, the next step is arguably to open the door and sit down in it.

2009 Jeep Patriot North 4WD Review
Sunday, December 14, 2008
When Jeep first launched the Patriot I was none too sure about it. After all, it's based on the Dodge Caliber, and although I love the value for money aspect of that vehicle, I couldn't quite fathom a Jeep version of it. Aren't Jeeps supposed to be rugged, go-anywhere types of vehicles? Would you call a Dodge Caliber with 4WD one of those? Well, I'm ready to eat my words and take back everything that I have said about the Patriot in the past, because after spending a week in one, I totally get it.
