Monday, September 12, 2011
We're hurtling down the runway of an ex-military airfield at 200 km/h in a John Cooper Works MINI Coupé. The driver's footwork is a blur, the car dances at the very limits of adhesion as we slide around the hairpin, staccato exhaust blatts punctuating every downshift.

2012 Ford Explorer EcoBoost First Impressions
Tuesday, August 30, 2011
I will go on record right now to say that I never truly liked the Ford Explorer. Now this could have something to do with the styling of previous models, or the fact that during my time managing detail shops, I had the distinct displeasure of preparing the first Eddie Bauer Edition for its debut at the Toronto Auto Show.

2012 Cadillac SRX First Impressions
Friday, July 29, 2011
SANTA BARBARA, California--There are some rough and hard-scrabble roads running through the foothills of the Santa Ynez Mountains. Too firm a suspension setup and the kidneys would be pummelled relentlessly; too soft, and there'd be grave danger of wallowing and rolling off one of the narrow corkscrew turns.

2012 Bentley Continental GT review
Thursday, July 28, 2011
It's hard not to feel a tad jaded in our business. Every week I'm presented with a new vehicle, and sometimes it gets to be so mundane and humdrum, one car kind of just blending into the next. It's not that I mean for it to be like that, just that it happens--sad, but true. I love my job and I love cars, but in today's market, everyone is playing the one-up game, which means most cars are basically the same with a very few minute changes to make them stand out from the crowd--hopefully.

2012 Volkswagen Beetle First Impressions
Thursday, July 14, 2011
BERLIN, Germany--History isn't something we auto journalists often talk about. Well, this week I took a step back in time with Volkswagen, and I'm sure glad I did.

2012 Mercedes Benz SLK First Impressions
Monday, July 04, 2011
JASPER, Alberta-It takes only 20 seconds to unfurl the SLK's power hardtop from its nesting place in the trunk. A fraction of a minute is an eternity when you've got a black bear keeping pace with your tiny roadster, so close you could reach out and touch its shaggy hide. Fortunately, it wasn't the slightest bit interested in us, cutting in front and lumbering down the embankment to do whatever it is that bears do in the woods.

2011 Volkswagen Golf GTI Edition 35 First Impressions
Friday, June 24, 2011
History tells us that 1976 was, as every year is, tumultuous, heart warming and exciting. That year, the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Dallas Cowboys in Super Bowl X, a pair of coal mine explosions killed 26 in Kentucky, the Toronto Blue Jays were created, North and South Vietnam united to form the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Viking 1 lander successfully landed on Mars.

2012 Hyundai Genesis First Impressions
Thursday, June 23, 2011
LAS VEGAS, Nevada - Sometimes past experiences can be quite scarring and leave an impression we're not likely to forget anytime soon. Be it a traumatizing accident, the loss of something important or a crappy car. Trust me, it can be quite life-altering to own a car that's a piece of junk the moment you drive it home. And unfortunately, the make of that scarring vehicle will forever hold a tarnished place in your heart.

LAS VEGAS, Nevada--As the temperature read 106 °F on the dash and I looked out over the Hoover Dam from behind the wheel of my 5-door baby blue 2012 Hyundai Accent, I felt quite cool, calm and collected. Not only was the A/C keeping me comfortable, but so too was the vehicle.

2012 Subaru Impreza Preview
Wednesday, May 25, 2011
Subaru is one of the few companies I'm always eager to see unveil their latest models. Unlike most car manufacturers, their redesign and model overhauls are often dramatic, if nothing short of shocking, especially when it comes to exterior looks. Drastic facelifts have been the norm for Subaru over the years, and while the brand-new 2012 might not be sporting a shockingly different look, it's definitely gone through enough changes to attract attention.

2012 Chevrolet Sonic Preview
Tuesday, May 31, 2011
After eight years without a major redesign, we're pretty sure no one will sob and wave their handkerchief when they'll see Chevy's Aveo leave its retirement party. Problematic build quality, lacklustre fuel economy and an arguable lack of competitiveness sealed the car's fate way back in 2004, despite constant yet insignificant improvements.bien qu'insignifiantes.
