2013 Audi Q5 Hybrid First Impressions
Monday, June 20, 2011
MALLORCA, Spain-- Not much more than the width of an oxcart, the narrow road wound its way up the mountainside, flanked on one side by thickets of holm-oak and juniper, on the other by yellow stone walls.

2012 Audi Q5 Hybrid First Impressions
Tuesday, November 23, 2010
The next instalment in my Audi Electrification adventure landed me in a Q5 Hybrid. We all know that compact crossovers are the "in" segment at the moment. Mix in luxury, and your vehicle is a sure-fire winner. Throw in "hybrid" and you're now dabbling in a backyard that has seen only one player for the last few years, the Lexus RX. Well-established and highly-regarded, the RX is no pushover and nor does Audi intend on aiming straight at it.

2009 Audi Q5 3.2 FSI quattro Premium Review

With Audi, the driving experience is always one little notch above the competition. You always enjoy a little more fun anytime you drive one of these sporty, weather-busting German cars. In fact, thrills behind the wheel of an Audi prevail over any other form of guilty pleasure, regardless of the model. And the new 2009 Audi Q5 -- call it a crossover or an SUV -- is certainly no exception to the rule.

2009 Audi Q5 First Impressions
Tuesday, March 31, 2009
Sebring, Florida--The long-anticipated little brother to the Q7 is finally available, and I was fortunate to attend the Canadian Press introduction in Florida. Here, I was able to spend hours in both the standard Q5 3.2 and the 3.2 Premium. The difference between the two is in how much creature comforts you want. Not need, but want because the standard version is so comfortable I never even thought of moving up to the Premium. Mind you, when I drove the Premium, I never thought of going back to the standard version. After all, if your biggest decision is what color to buy and what type of wheel you want, that makes for a day of anguish!

Audi is the last member of the "Other Big Three" to jump on the premium compact SUV bandwagon. As one of the segment pioneers, BMW is already firmly established with the X3, while Mercedes-Benz is counterattacking since January with the new GLK-Class. Outside of the German hotbed, the competition includes the Land Rover LR2, Lexus RX, Acura RDX, Infiniti EX and upcoming Volvo XC60.

Audi presents 2010 S4 and R8 V10 in Toronto
Wednesday, February 11, 2009
It won't be very green this year at the Audi stand. Sure, the Q7 TDI will be there as well as the compact Q5, but the big news is the Canadian intro of two high-performance models. Based on the new-generation A4, the 2010 S4 drops the 340-hp V8 for a supercharged 3.0-litre V6 that develops 333 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. Gearbox choices will include a 6-speed manual and a new 7-speed dual-clutch S tronic automatic.

Next-Gen MMI system to debut in new Audi Q5
Thursday, January 29, 2009
If we believed everything the carmakers told us, it'd be hard to determine whether BMW, Audi or Mercedes-Benz in fact had the 'best' central command interface on the market. All three automakers claim superiority, and all three have recently updated their systems to varying degrees.

Tuesday, April 22, 2008
Audi's new Q5 is coming, and the folks in Ingolstadt say that it's going to be the sportiest SUV in its class. Intended for sport-sedan manners and SUV flexibility, the brands latest will combine Quattro permanent all wheel drive with efficient engines for capable performance both on and off of the road. Measuring in at 4.6 metres long, 1.9 metres wide and just 1.6 metres tall, the Q5 takes a place just below its big brother, the Q7, and boasts a benchmark-setting drag coefficient of just 0.33. Gone is the dash-mounted flower vase in the latest version of Volkswagen's Bug. Gone too is much of its cutesiness, replaced by a notable degree of sportiness intended to broaden the Beetle's target market by attracting male attention.
