Honda Ridgeline phased out within 2 years
Friday, September 09, 2011
Despite steady gas hikes, the Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra still enjoy significant popularity, which may lead people to think that any automaker can succeed with any type of pickup truck. Unfortunately, that's not the case, as Honda is in the process of phasing out the Ridgeline within two years.

2011 Honda Ridgeline EX-L Review
Tuesday, March 08, 2011
The Ridgeline is the workhorse of Honda's broad lineup of vehicles. It's an innovative pickup truck that takes a less rugged approach to versatility without sacrificing a roomy 4-door cabin or four-wheel-drive (4WD) traction. This rig remains unchanged for 2011 having undergone significant updates in 2009.

2010 Honda Ridgeline EX-L NAVI Review
Friday, August 20, 2010
Yeah, I know, the Ridgeline has been around since 2006 and has not become the successful mid-size alternative pickup that Honda had hoped, but I've got a hunch that this might change sooner than later. You see, I've spent a considerable amount of time over the last few months behind the wheels of many a pickup, light and heavy duty, and have noticed that they are all heading in one direction: being more things to more people.

Do-It-All Truck Special
Wednesday, June 09, 2010
For some, a pickup truck is a versatile tool box that effectively performs just about any task. For others, it's a life-size Tonka toy that fulfills childhood dreams. Regardless of people's buying motives, this type of vehicle still proves popular despite volatile fuel prices.

2010 Honda Ridgeline EX-L Review
Sunday, June 06, 2010
Not much changes with the Ridgeline for 2010. It remains a versatile vehicle deserving of another look since being refreshed in 2009.

2009 Honda Ridgeline EX-L NAVI Review
Thursday, August 27, 2009
Pickup trucks are the most popular type of vehicle in North America. It's a lucrative segment for the domestic automakers, and outsiders that try to steal some sales away from them aren't finding it very easy. Toyota and Nissan have even built assembly plants in the USA to produce their Tundra and Titan full-size pickups, both of which are selling below expectations.

2009 Honda Ridgeline DX Review
Wednesday, August 12, 2009
When Honda introduced the Ridgeline at the Detroit auto show in 2004, most people thought Honda had gone a bit soft in the head. The Ridgeline was based on car type construction without an obvious frame and it wouldn't hold a sheet of plywood in the bed. Worse yet it had a car interior.

2009 Honda Ridgeline EX-L Navi Review (video)
Wednesday, April 29, 2009
Trucks exist that can tow a fifty-foot boat while hauling a quad, seating five people and leaving enough room behind for a few cases of pop and some fishing gear. The Honda Ridgeline isn't one of these trucks -- but for the day-to-day workload many pickup owners face, it offers appreciable flexibility, convenience and comfort.

Honda Ridgeline: slight updates for 2009
Friday, August 08, 2008
It's only three years old, but the Ridgeline is already being treated to a minor facelift in 2009. Since its general look is still contemporary, Honda's engineers decided on a more measured approach. When Honda introduced its first pickup truck, a lot of criticism was directed at the front portion, which was audacious to say the least. This shortcoming has been corrected for 2009 by a lightly updated grille and bumper and revised rear-view mirrors. In the back, only the internal reconfiguration of the taillights is noticeable.

2008 Honda Ridgeline EX-L Road Test
Wednesday, February 20, 2008
It seems as though every Asian automaker is looking to make a strong mark in the lucrative pickup truck market. Toyota, Nissan and Honda are right in the mix, while Suzuki will soon offer its own model (albeit a clone of the Nissan Frontier). At Mitsubishi, the Raider pickup is exclusively sold in the US as a rebadged Dodge Dakota. Even Korean automaker Kia is considering jumping on the bandwagon.

2007 Honda Ridgeline EX-L Navi Road Test
Tuesday, January 23, 2007
You could almost hear the division forming between consumers when it was announced that Honda was going to offer a pickup. Some would cheer- anxious to see how Honda quality and reliability would materialize into a 4x4. Others would roll their eyes and huff, namely the diehards who would drive no truck other than a Chevrolet, Ford or Dodge. This group uses Honda products to mow their lawns or to power the fishing boat they're towing off to the cottage behind their half-ton.

2006 Honda Ridgeline LX (Video Clip)
Saturday, December 03, 2005
Drive down to the U.S., especially in rural areas, and you'll notice that pickup trucks are as common as the American flag. The domestic manufacturers are battling it out each year; GM, Ford and Dodge sell about 1 million full-size pickups together. And the pickup segment has become pretty lucrative in the last 20 years. So much, that everyone wants in.

2006 Honda Ridgeline EX-L
Monday, July 04, 2005
Pick-up trucks are huge sellers in North America. Last year, a pick-up was the best selling vehicle in Canada and has been for many years. For most urbanites though, these trucks are simply too much of a compromise where comfort and versatility are concerned. Because of this, manufacturers have been trying to cater to a larger audience by creating vehicles that are more multi-purpose with better passenger accommodations.

2006 Honda Ridgeline
Wednesday, February 16, 2005
Honda has now introduced their much-anticipated Ridgeline pickup.
The only available engine will be a 255-hp 3.5-litre V6 mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission. It will feature Honda's VTM-4 four-wheel-drive system found in the Pilot, VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist) and traction control. Honda claims that the Ridgeline is the most frugal pickup in its category. It is also the first such vehicle to be rated as a ULEV (Ultra Low-Emissions Vehicle).

The Murano is Nissan's mid-size SUV/crossover. It's too small for third-row seating but is otherwise spacious. In Canada, this polished performer is available only in an all-wheel-drive (AWD) format, which utilizes a continuously variable transmission (CVT) to connect smooth V6-produced power to all four wheels.
