2005-2009 Kia Spectra Pre-Owned
Saturday, June 20, 2009
Basic transportation comes in many forms, and the Kia Spectra was definitely one of them. Its replacement, the Forte, is now on sale. You've probably seen it on dealer lots or on TV in some amusing commercials. The name of progress spelled the end of the road for the Spectra--and used examples are now more abundant than ever at your favorite pre-owned dealership.

2008 Kia Spectra5 LX Convenience Review
Saturday, June 07, 2008
Roughly two years ago, new Kia models were pouring in, fulfilling the promise that the Korean company made about delivering 7 new or redesigned products within a 24-month span. The Spectra5, which got its last makeover for the 2005 model year, was among the first of that gust of vehicles.

2006 Kia Spectra5 EX Sport Road Test
Tuesday, August 08, 2006
Look at Kia's product lineup today, and compare it to what they offered just six years ago when they came to the Canadian market. They have come a long way since the Sephia and original Sportage, two vehicles that were neither exciting nor durable.

2005 Kia Spectra5 Road Test
Sunday, November 21, 2004
The all new, completely redesigned from the ground up 2005 Kia Spectra model lineup is most impressive. From its refined exterior lines to its well made, metallic-trim detailed interior, the Spectra's makeover was much needed. New updated dealerships are now being required by the manufacturer to change the image set by the ones that started out of trailers.

2005 Kia Spectra Preview
Thursday, January 29, 2004
In its present guise, the Kia Spectra is a pretty interesting little sedan. It looks okay, doesn't cost much, is well equipped and well built, comfortable on the highway, and responsive if you press it.

2005 Kia Spectra Preview
Tuesday, December 02, 2003
A few months back when Kia announced its new Spectra (Cerato outside of North America), its marketing division had released snippets of photos not unlike that of a supercar or luxury sedan. Piquing our interests with curvaceous body panels and graciously styled fenders eclipsing strategically placed back lighting, the photos did a good job garnering curiosity.

WHAT'S IN A NAME? SEPHIA BECOMES SPECTRA FOR 2002
Wednesday, September 05, 2001
For model year 2002, the Kia Sephia officially becomes the Kia Spectra sedan, a name change designed to clarify and streamline Kia's model offerings in the United States. The 2002 Spectra compact sedan will be offered in the same trim levels as before base and LS but now will join the sporty Spectra hatchback GS and GSX models to create a strengthened entry-level compact offering from Kia. Most notably, the new Spectra compact sedan incorporates exterior styling cues from the Spectra hatchback adding to the new "family look."

Gone is the dash-mounted flower vase in the latest version of Volkswagen's Bug. Gone too is much of its cutesiness, replaced by a notable degree of sportiness intended to broaden the Beetle's target market by attracting male attention.
