Miranda's No. 1 Road Trip Vehicle
Tuesday, June 07, 2011
Sometimes you just have to get out of Dodge. It's nothing personal to your friends, family, job (maybe your job) or even the neighbourhood you live in; you just have to get away for a bit. We've all felt this way at least once in our lives, and I can bet at the very moment you wanted to jump ship you didn't exactly have the cash to drop at the airport for a flight outta there. Well, rejoice: There's a cheaper (much more enjoyable) option. The road trip.

2011 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Review
Wednesday, April 27, 2011
I don't care what they say, we are not all created equally. If that was the case, then cars and houses and every other need we might have would all be equal as well. I will never have washboard abs like Matthew Morrison or a smile like Tom Cruise but I'm happy just the way I am.

2009 Jaguar XF Supercharged Review (video)
Thursday, June 05, 2008
The jaguar is a refined, discreet predator; yet, when on the prowl, it shows no mercy. That's probably the image designers had in mind when they created the all-new 2009 Jaguar XF Supercharged as a replacement for the old S-Type. Both in terms of style and performance, this newly-bred English cat marks the beginning of a renaissance for Jaguar.

2008 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Review
Friday, April 18, 2008
There's nothing sensible about a 2.8-ton truck with 400 horsepower and a $96,000 price tag. And when there's a Land Rover badge on the hood, it means you can take your unsensible truck just about anywhere you want. Equipped with Land Rover's Terrain Response system, the driver can select several off-road modes depending on where he or she is planning on heading into. Mud, snow, ruts, sand or rock climbing, Terrain Response has got a mode for you. During a week of driving on snow-packed roads, though, I don't feel much difference between the mud/snow and automatic settings.

2007 Range Rover Supercharged Road Test
Thursday, June 21, 2007
The luxury SUV market is a strange animal. The very best of these unwieldy, inefficient vehicles are imbued with incredible technological features that can take you pretty much anywhere on the planet in complete comfort. Case in point, the Land Rover line of sport utility vehicles.

2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Road Test
Thursday, November 30, 2006
The Range Rover brand is an interesting one for many reasons. Historically, this brand has, and still does, create some of the most capable off-roading trucks ever conceived. Likewise, it is also recognized for being one of the most luxurious and desirable SUVs on the planet. Should you, for some odd reason, not be convinced of this, watch one episode of "Cribs" on MTV. Every celebrity that is featured has at least one Range Rover in their garage. The question is then: How did this car maker go from being covered in mud to be being draped in bling?

2006 Land Rover Range Rover Sport Supercharged Road Trip
Thursday, March 23, 2006
I couldn't believe it. The middle of winter, and despite being on the West Coast, where it tends to rain more than snow come March, or anytime for that matter, Land Rover had equipped its new Range Rover Sport Supercharged with stock performance-oriented summer tires. Large in diameter and ultra low in profile, 275/40R20 at all four corners no less, the hot looking Pirelli PZero Rosso Asimmetricos wouldn't do at all. I quickly made the appropriate phone calls that resulted in plans to return to the Richmond, BC dealership that LR uses as a liaison to the media, and have the racy rubber replaced with more suitable tires.

2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS Road Test
Tuesday, November 04, 2003
I hit the GM dealership expecting to be handed keys to a black Impala SS. What I got instead was a screaming-bright-yellow, supercharged Monte Carlo SS. Mellow yellow this car isn't! During the muscle-car era of the '60s and '70s every North American auto enthusiast knew that a Chevrolet product tagged with an "SS" badge was something special.

Gone is the dash-mounted flower vase in the latest version of Volkswagen's Bug. Gone too is much of its cutesiness, replaced by a notable degree of sportiness intended to broaden the Beetle's target market by attracting male attention.
