Chevrolet Tahoe Police vehicle achieves lowest lifecycle cost recognition

DETROIT- The Chevrolet Tahoe Police 2WD vehicle was found to have the lowest lifecycle cost in the law enforcement market by Vincentric, a company specializing in the area of automobile lifecycle analysis. Vincentric recently released their 2010 law enforcement vehicle market analysis that measured 20 mileage/lifecycle timeframes and the Tahoe Police 2WD enjoyed the lowest lifecycle cost in the majority of scenarios.

Law Enforcement Officials Credit Service with Fast and Safe Recovery of 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe

Detroit, Mich. - GM and OnStar announce the use of OnStar's Stolen Vehicle Slowdown (SVS) service to help safely recover a 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe that was carjacked at gunpoint from a subscriber in Visalia, California. This is the first time that SVS has been activated to help a subscriber in a carjacking situation.

In light of the current economic situation in the United States and the free fall of its sales numbers, General Motors has announced the end of an important era of its history. The current incarnations of the GMC Yukon, Cadillac Escalade and Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban full-size SUVs will not see a next generation. GM is tolling the Suburban's bell after a 76-year run, with production ending in 2011. The Suburban was named after a military derivative of the mid-1930s.

Hybrid technology can reduce emissions and fuel consumption when used in a small car- but apply the same hardware to a large SUV, and the potential environmental benefits are even greater. Their thirstier engines stand to burn less fuel when assisted by an electric-drive system, and SUV's also offer plenty of room for the additional hybrid hardware like batteries and wiring.
