As we have been used to for years now, the Insurance Bureau of Canada published its annual list of the most stolen vehicles in Canada, based on actual insurance claims information collected from companies that write almost all automobile insurance in Canada.

2010 Acura CSX Type-S Review
Sunday, July 18, 2010
The CSX, as well as the EL that preceded it, has a tough job. It serves as the entry-level model in Acura's Canadian line-up, but it's based on the Honda Civic that costs up to ten grand less.

2008 Acura TL Type-S Review
Tuesday, May 27, 2008
I've always liked the style of the Acura TL and my recent road test with the 2008 model further cemented my opinion. I was also reminded of its pleasant driving experience. This car flies under the radar, attacking the road with stealth and restrained power. Those who love refined performance will be delighted. Acura is known for being a bit too conservative in terms of styling and the TL is no exception.

2008 Acura CSX Type-S Road Test (video)
Thursday, January 24, 2008
How big is little? Well, in the case of this white-colored, dressed-up Civic, also known as the Acura CSX, we're almost talking about a midsize car. With an aggressive body kit and rear wing spoiler, this little Japanese athlete appears to be on steroids. Not that there's anything wrong with that -- especially with the 197-hp i-VTEC engine under the hood.

2007 Acura TL Type-S Road Test
Tuesday, September 11, 2007
Acura's TL is considered as one of the best sport-luxury sedans. Powerful, comfortable, distinctive, well-equipped... there isn't much to complain about. But the car has a problem that tarnishes the driving experience a little bit, or at least during full-throttle acceleration: the engine's power is transmitted to the front wheels.

2007 Acura TL Type-S Road Test
Friday, August 24, 2007
The Acura TL is a tremendously satisfying sports sedan in its non-Type-S format. Adding "Type-S" to its nomenclature doesn't necessarily inflate fulfillment. I have always enjoyed seat time in the TL, finding it to offer an outstanding blend of performance, refinement and luxury at a reasonable price. Despite the expanded handling thresholds of the Type-S, I wouldn't pay a nickel to move up from the standard TL. Why? Good question.

2007 Acura CSX-Type-S Road Test
Tuesday, July 03, 2007
At its 8,000-rpm redline, the scream from the sport-tuned exhaust piping channeled under the four-door body of the CSX Type-S is wild enough to launch Acura's hopped-up entry-level sedan onto the big screen in a "Fast and Furious" sequel. By incorporating the drivetrain and suspension from the Honda Civic Si, Acura has morphed the otherwise sedate CSX into a "tuner" sled, replete with tarmac-searing handling and pulse-quickening acceleration.

2007 Acura CSX Type-S Road Test
Sunday, July 15, 2007
Acuras have always been targeted at a different audience than Lexus or Infiniti. Consciously, Acura has taken a different road from the beginning. If we go back not ten years, Acura's line-up included a medley of cars; from a compact entry-level all the way to a glorified supercar. Between the 1.6 EL and the NSX, buyers could be pampered by a 3.5RL, whisked around in a 3.2TL or carving corners in an Integra.

2007 Acura TL Type-S Road Test

The other night, I found myself playing one of the latest new video game consoles called the Wii, from Nintendo. It's the same basic idea as an Xbox or Playstation, though it favors a set of motion-sensitive handsets as opposed to more traditional controllers seen on other systems.

2007 Acura TL Type-S First Impressions
Wednesday, December 13, 2006
Washington, D.C. - When the third-generation Acura TL was introduced in 2004, it immediately became the best-selling luxury car south of the border. Sales in Canada have been brisk since that time as well. This fact convinced the manufacturer that a wholesale makeover for the TL was not yet needed and, with some slight enhancements, this sleek sedan could still compete with the very best on the block.

2007 Acura CSX Type-S First Impressions
Tuesday, December 12, 2006
Washington, D.C. - Last year, the original Acura CSX made its debut to great acclaim. Reviewers praised the small sedan for its distinctive design, inventive use of interior space and luxury features. All of these qualities have remained intact in the CSX Type-S, with one exception: this model is more of a blast to drive. (Think: the Honda Civic Si... if it were a 4-door sedan.)

2005 Acura RSX Type-S Road Test
Sunday, January 16, 2005
Few street legal, moderately priced road rockets combine an 8,100 rpm redline with a slick shifting 6-speed manual transmission, not to mention superb handling and tremendous build quality - but that's exactly what Acura has done. It's called the RSX Type S, and for '05 Acura enhanced the fun factor by adding ten more ponies beneath the hood, re-tuning the suspension, optimizing the brakes, smoothing out the 6-speed shifter, increasing structural rigidity by 22 percent and lowering the vehicle by 7 mm (.27 inches).

2005 Acura RSX Type-S Road Test
Monday, December 27, 2004
I'm a traditional kind of gal. I like it when people open doors or pull out chairs for me, and I like being the passenger, not the driver, when I go out on the occasional date. But it's the 21st century and times have changed. I'm lucky if my date physically opens the passenger-side door for me despite keyless entry remote! Yet when I'm inspired by a car, and can't get enough of it, I'll leave my inhibitions at the passenger door, and drive it myself.

2005 Acura RSX Type S Road Test
Monday, December 06, 2004
I've sold a few Acuras lately, not that I was trying. It's just that I get asked all the time what car is the best in a certain class, and all too often my answer is Acura. My uncle recently purchased a compact TSX sedan after I made the recommendation and another good friend, after consultation, just told me he's going to trade in his Nissan Maxima for a new TL.

2001 Acura 3.2 CL Type S Road Test
Monday, January 01, 2001
The new CL, like its predecessor, is designed and built in North America. The original coupes minimalist lines weren't particularly popular and as a performer it was only slightly better than average. Although the new CL has improved performance the redesign has lost some of the originals distinctive style. Nevertheless it is attractive, taking much of its crisp, clean styling cues from the current TL.

Gone is the dash-mounted flower vase in the latest version of Volkswagen's Bug. Gone too is much of its cutesiness, replaced by a notable degree of sportiness intended to broaden the Beetle's target market by attracting male attention.
