Subaru's R1e electric vehicle to be tested by the NYPA

Subaru just announced that it would begin evaluating its R1e electric vehicle (EV) in the United States this summer in collaboration with the New York Power Authority (NYPA), which will add it to its vehicle fleet. The Subaru R1e, on display at the New York International Auto Show until March 30, is based on the R1 minicar currently sold in Japan. It was developed by Subaru in partnership with the Tokyo Electric Power Company, Inc. (TEPCO).
