Red Light
V6 engine, despite CVT, is a gas guzzler. Better on highway than city but still something that could be improved on. Hybrid Murano??? Nice.

Yellow Light
Seating for 5 and only five; each seat is comfortable, roomy and very safe and secure. Cargo space in the back is also limited, although rear seats will fold flat and will come up at the touch of a button. Nice touch.

Green Light
Unique in style, profile; very smooth and easy ride. Exterior fit and finish from 20" wheels to front and rear light groupings to the sensual bumps and bulges, the 09 Murano is a class leader. Very distinctive shillouette, front grille and back, the vehicle's overall finish, inside as well as out is leaning more towards the Infiniti brand than Nissan. Back up/rear-view camera with colour coded guide lines is very useful. Great sound insulation; reduced road noise allows passengers to hear every note of the 11 speaker Bose system. Very polished.

Review:
We purchased the 09 Murano at the end of Apr/beginning May and have been very pleased with the car. It is a very sweet ride - literally. Smooth, muscular, bulging, it is a car that my wife drives with confidence regardless of weather and road condition. It's very distinctive shilouette and front grill and rear end garners appreciative looks wherever we drive. Dampening the worst potholes, keeping the unwanted road noise out, the Murano is an extremely civilized ride that hearkens more to a vehicle of the Infiniti class than Nissan. Quality materials used throughout, inside and out, fit is tight. Love the nice touches the car has: automated sun roof, rear lift gate, rear folding seats. Push button start wins cool points, 6 CD changer and sound system is absolutely top rated. Only downside to this vehicle, as can be expected, is the mileage. While not abyssmal, it is in the mid to high range but hey, what can you expect from an SUV? Would love to see this in a hybrid, like they did for the Ford Escape or the Toyota Highlander. This is a way better looking car than either of them and is a superior ride, IMHO, so making a hybrid version especially with today's gas prices would be quite the coup. This is our first Nissan Murano and something tells me it won't be our last. Great car to date, we are very happy with the vehicle.
