Red Light
Engine compartment is small, can be difficult to do your own work on some things in there (i.e. bringing wires through the firewall for CB / amateur radio).
|
 |
Yellow Light
Rear view mirror small with limited visibility. A/C really needs to run on max to keep the interior cool on a warm day. One of the two 12V power jacks is very close to the shifter and anything you use in that jack needs to be very short/flat so as to not interfere with the shifter. Dashboard is curved - hard to mount radio heads (CB / amateur) or GPS dash mounts.

Green Light
Comfortable driver's seat. Standard USB jack for MP3 is very nice. Standard iPod controls as well. Back seat roomy. Runs on regular gas, instead of premium like older Nissans. Glove box is truly cavernous.

Review:
I downsized from a 2007 Murano recently. Bought this one off the lot, so it was not fully loaded. Economically-speaking it was a great deal. If you're looking for all the trimmings of the higher-end Murano, you won't find them here, but then again, you're not paying for them either.
First trip of 600 km in this vehicle with 2 passengers and a full cargo hold of camping gear was comfortable. We got 8.5 l/100 km for the trip. The ride was quiet and comfortable. Passenger in the rear had plenty of room, even with the 40% side of the back seat folded down to accommodate our gear.
I am impressed with the car so far, and am looking forward to years of service from it.

Red Light
POWER STEERING faults mentioned above where Nissan refused to fix despite the car being two days off the lot
Nissan dealer could not find the problem or cause of the failure to start and said no code appeared for the power steering light, refused to fix the car
power for highway passing is mediocore
I've driven several cars and they are slightly better in terms of driving feel

 |
Yellow Light
battery was faulty from factory after two days pickup from dealer NEW ( car would not start even though it started 5 mins earlier),
engine malfunction light and power steering light- this caused an accident for me, as the power steering failed and suddenly turned on as I was pulling out of a parking lot
|
 |
Green Light
great look, great steering feel, good convenience features, good power for city driving, fit and finish of interior

Review:
I would steer clear of the Nissan Rogue 2011, they have switched to an electronic power steering system from a hydraulic steering system. I think this is the problem. With the battery and the power steering problems i encountered and the following customer service with Nissan I would avoid Nissan too. Not a happy customer.
