Jean-Philippe Dayraut (BMW Series 1), Alain Prost (Dacia Duster) and Franck Lagorce (Skoda Fabia) will fight for the title during the last two rounds of the Trophy Andros ice racing series held this weekend in Lans-en-Vercors.
Dayraut, Prost and Lagorce are separated by just 9 points with tjust wo heats to go. Championship leader since the beginning of the season, four-time World Champion Alain Prost lost the command after he scored a third position in Super Besse. His main rival Jean-Philippe Dayraut move up into the lead after he secured a second place in Super Besse. However, Skoda driver Franck Lagorce, the winner of the last round, closed on to both rivals and now stands only one point behind Prost before fthe inal rounds in Lans-en-Vercors. Canadian Jacques Villeneuve (Skoda Fabia) aims to remain in the top 10 after his first season in the Andros Trophy. Provisional classification: 1. Dayraut 686 points, 2. Prost 678, 3. Lagorce 677, 4.
