Malaysian racing driver Nabil Jeffri became today, September 1st the youngest ever Formula 1 test driver when he piloted the Cosworth-powered Lotus T127 in Great Britain.

Under the guidance of
Lotus Racing’s Technical Director Mike Gascoyne, Jeffri, just 16 conducted straight line aerodynamic tests on the airfield at the Imperial War Museum in Duxford, UK.
Jeffri, born October 24, 1993 in Kuala Lumpur began his career in karting, winning the Asian and Malaysian Rotax Max Junior titles in 2009.

He graduated to Formula BMW Pacific in 2010, racing for Eurasia Motorsport as a member of the AirAsia ASEAN Driver Development Program.
He joins at Lotus Racing fellow countryman and reserve driver, Fairuz Fauzy.
