Force India, which has a technical partnership with McLaren opted also to run its 2010 car during the first pre-season test at Valencia last week, but will give its new challenger a first run at the Jerez test that starts on Thursday.
The roll hoop design of the VJM04, which is similar to that used on the Team Lotus T128, also features undercut side pods and a complex front-wing concept.
The car will benefit from the Mercedes KERS system.
Regular drivers this season will be Adrian Sutil and rookie Paul di Resta (the reigning DTM champion) and reserved river will be Germany’s Nico Hulkenberg.
