As it was the case with the Brabham name last week, Group Lotus have distinguish themselves from the group that has submitted an entry for next year’s F1 World Championship.
Last week, Sir Jack Brabham and his family have left open the door to legal action after it emerged that a company aims to take their famous surname back to the formula one grid in 2010. The Brabham family clarified in a press release that it is "in no way involved" with Franz Hilmer's new Brabham Grand Prix Ltd outfit, and nor was it consulted about the plans. On Wednesday, Group Lotus plc issued a similar press release. “Group Lotus plc and its subsidiary Lotus Cars Limited, the manufacturer of the iconic Lotus Elise and global high technology engineering consultancy, are not connected or affiliated to, nor in any other way associated with the newly announced "Team Lotus" that has submitted an entry for the 2010 Formula 1 championship. Group Lotus plc will take all necessary steps to protect its name, reputation and brand image.” Recent Articles
