Andretti Green Racing officials announced the addition of Franck Montagny to their entry at Infineon Raceway next weekend.
The French-born driver drove in the ALMS series last year for AGR taking an overall win at Belle Isle and an LMP2 class win at Laguna Seca. On Thursday he will join ten other IndyCar drivers for an open test at the circuit . "I am certainly looking forward to my IndyCar debut in Sonoma Andretti Green Racing,” said Montagny. “I was able to test one of the team's Indy cars last year and very much enjoyed driving it. Being able to test the track this week will be very helpful for me to learn the circuit and prepare for the race. We have a lot of work to do to get ready, but I believe we are up to the challenge." Although it’s his IndyCar series debut the 31-year old also drove a Forsythe Racing Champ Car at Long Beach last year to second-place. There will be five AGR cars entered at Infineon. Photos: WRI2
