Canadian driver Paul Tracy will substitute for injured Vitor Meira at AJ Foyt Racing at the Milwaukee Mile but AJ Foyt is keen for Paul Tracy to stay on with his team if all goes well.
For now the deal is just for the Milwaukee race and both Foyt and Tracy would like to extend their cooperation if this weekend’ venture proves to be a success. At present the deal is for Milwaukee only, but both parties are keen to extend it if this weekend is a success. The only commitments Tracy has for now is with KV Racing for which he will drive for both the Toronto and Edmonton races later this summer. Foyt has already accepted that he might have to find a temporary substitute. "My goal this weekend is to give the team their first good finish of the year, to get the momentum up and get the spirits up," Tracy said. "They've had some hard breaks this year." Photos: IRL
