Lotus Cars now plans to take advantage of the rule that allows teams to develop their own aerodynamic package for the new Dallara spec IndyCar chassis that will be used from 2012.
Autosport magazine added that Lotus Cars motorsport director Claudio Berro said: "We plan to do our own bodykit. It is a natural evolution of our involvement in the IndyCar Series."
