Having been denied a postponement in the case of the U.S. Government vs. Helio Castroneves, Penske Racing could be force to make a decision before Christmas on whether or not to replace its star driver for the 2009 IndyCar season.
"We're probably two-three weeks away from a decision," team spokesperson Bud Denker tells the Detroit Free Press. Should Penske elect to replace Castroneves, there are a lot of good drivers that could be interested and available for the job. Drivers like Will Power, Ryan Hunter-Reay, Justin Wilson and Oriol Servia are on the market. "We've had drivers calling us on the phone - it's been pretty lively, as you could expect," said Denker. "There are lots of drivers looking for work." Photos: IRL - Michael Levitt
