Auto123.com has had a sneak peak at the proposed 2010 IndyCar schedule. As it was the case this season, the number of rounds will remain unchanged at 17 but two ovals (Milwaukee and Richmond) are being dropped for a pair of new road races.
Rio de Janeiro will open the season in mid-March followed by St. Petersburg on the last week of March and then newcomer Barber Motortsports Park will host the inaugural Indy Grand Prix of Alabama on April 9-11 at Birmingham. As it was expected, the Milwaukee Mile is not listed on the schedule, which will be officially announced Friday, as well as the Richmond Speedway. 2010 IndyCar Schedule (No dates) Rio de Janeiro St. Pete Birmingham Long Beach Kansas Indianapolis Texas Iowa Watkins Glen Toronto Edmonton Mid-Ohio Sonoma Chicago Kentucky Motegi, Japan Homestead Photos: IMS
