SH Karting to host round three of Coupe de Montreal
Round three of the Coupe de Montreal Championship will be held this Saturday, May 31st at SH Karting in St-Hilaire, Quebec. This will be the second consecutive race in the championship held at SH Karting, and SH Karting club members know it is their chance to make gains in the points championship with the race being held at their home track.

Karting is the most accessible from of motorsport. And it is one of the most exhilarating! Karting is the least expensive way to enter motorsport. Driving a small kart that can reach 150 km-h just one inch off the ground required stupendous driving skills and stunning abilities.

Karting was officially created in 1978. Today, the fames are built by robots and employ some sophisticated materials such as chromoly, aluminium and magnesium.

The frames are made of tubes of steel that are welded together. The engines are essentially two-cycle motors that can produce power that range between 7 and 40-horsepower, depending on the category. The slick tires generate amazing lateral grip that can reach 3 Gs of acceleration in the fast corners.
