Jeff Burton (Chevy No 31) won the Bank of America 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup race at the Lowe's Motor Speedway on Saturday evening.
Though the NASCAR Sprint Cup points leader Jimmie Johnson (Chevy No 48) seemed very strong, he ended up sixth still leading the championship. Following Burton who led 58 of the 334 laps, was Kasey Kahne (Dodge No 9) and Kurt Busch (Dodge No 2). Kyle Busch (Camry No 18) finished fourth followed by Jamie McMurray (Ford No 26). Carl Edwards (Ford No 99) who was second in points had electrical problems and finished 33rd. As for veteran Mike Wallace (Dodge No 10) who replaced Patrick Carpentier, he could do no better than 31st. Surprised? How about A.J. Allmendinger (Camry no 00) who will drive the No 10 Dodge until the end of the season? He finished last! Recent Articles
