As expected,
Carl Edwards (Ford No 99) won the Ford 400, the last race of the NASCAR Sprint Cup season at the Homestead-Miami Speedway Sunday evening, coasting on the very last drops of fuel in the gas tank.
Kevin Harvick (Chevy No 29) came in second followed by Jamie McMurray (Ford No 26).
Though he did lead a few laps, Jeff Gordon (Chevy No 24) finished fourth, the first season in which Gordon has no wins.
Finally, point leader
Jimmie Johnson (Chevy No 48) ended up in 15th spot and that was enough to give him a 69-point lead on race winner Edwards.
