Canada has been chosen to hold one of the 12 races that appear on the 2010 provisional schedule of the new sports car World Championship GT1 that will kick-off its activities next year.
A spokesperson for the series has confirmed that the July 4th event will be held in Canada but without saying where the race would be held, negotiations are being held with a number of circuits. The schedule has 12 races and an expected 24 cars should be on the grid with such manufacturers as Aston Martin, Ford, Maserati, Chevrolet, Nissan and Lamborghini.
