Rumours have placed
Milka Duno to drive alongside Graham Rahal and Robert Doornbos at Newman/Haas/Lanigan Racing, and the team has announced that the Venezuelan will test for them at Homestead this week.
For many observers, the possible hiring of Duno, who is expected to bring significant personal sponsorship, will be a clear sign of the difficult economic times that most IndyCar teams are now facing, even one of the most prestigious in motorsports.
Duno, a former sportscar racer, has struggled in two part-seasons of IndyCar with the SAMAX and Dreyer & Reinbold teams.
