Juho Hanninen (Skoda Fabia) clinched victory in Rally Argentina and pulled away in provisional IRC classification as Kris Meeke (Peugeot 207) retired.
North Irishman Kris Meeke, winner of the Curitiba Rally, had an unlucky week-end in Argentina. Winning the superspecial stage on Friday evening, he lost time on Saturday after suffering fro. engine troubles. During that time, Hanninen and Guy Wilks (Skoda Fabia) got in the lead. On Sunday, Meeke won about a minute before being forced to retire from steering and suspension problems. Jan Kopecky (Skoda Fabia) took third place, completing an 100% Skoda podium. After his win in Argentina, Hanninen pulls away in provisional classification, and now stands five points ahead of Guy Wilks. Next round: Rally Canaries Island, from April 29th to May 1st.
