Sebastien Ogier and
Kimi Raikkonen, driving Citroen C4s captured a 1-2 finish in the Rally della Lanterna, in Italy.
The Citroen Junior team drivers took part in the race in preparation for the next tarmac events of the World Rally Championship. It was a first experience on the tarmac in a
WRC car for Raikkonen.
The Finn was leading the event with a 30-second cushion over Ogier after four special stages to go. However, Ogier pressed on hard and won the rally, finishing five seconds ahead of Raikkonen.
It was an encouraging maiden experience on asphalt for Raikkonen, who is looking forward to the upcoming tarmac event, the WRC Rally of Bulgaria.
