Former Formula 1 driver Robert Kubica is on Citroen Racing's shortlist to join Kris Meeke in its 2015 World Rally Championship line-up.
In February 2011, Kubica was seriously injured in a crash at the Ronde di Andora rally, in which his right forearm was partially severed. He partially recovered, and last year, the Pole won the WRC2 title, driving for Citroen. This year, Kubica made his World Rally Championship debut, this time behind the wheel of a Ford Fiesta RS WRC run by M-Sport. Citroen Racing’s boss Yves Matton confirmed to British magazine Autosport that Kubica was among Citroen's 2015 candidates. "We are talking to him about next year," Matton said. "We have a shortlist of drivers and he is there."
