A Perfect Day

briefcase in hand, and noisome legal business that had threatened to take up too much time on a sunny day stayed until a future date, hopefully when it will be raining.

I feel like a million! My shoulders, previously overburdened with weighty business issues, are now light, my head clear and future prospects positively expectant. What could make the day any better? Oh yes, I could drop the soft top of my Saab 9-3 convertible test car. Now that's more like it.

mechanisms whirring to perfection in a near silent ballet of hydraulic techno-wizardry.

It's a car that, combined with an ideal day, lets a person forget about the load of work piling up on the desk. After all, work will always be there. Sunny days behind the wheel of a luxury convertible won't. And so I'm off.

Finding a local bistro for a celebratory snack, I gobble down and then head out to see what mischief I can get into. Previously I had been thinking of going clothes shopping, but with all the things to do I rarely make time for such self indulgent activities. Perfect. Today is the day. I wind the 9-3 through the myriad of one-way streets that make up the downtown core, over the bridge to the south side and into the fashion district.
