2005 GMC Denali

In the last couple of years, GMC has done an excellent job of promoting its upscale Denali brand into the public consciousness.

So it should come as no surprise that the logo will adorn three more models for the 2005 model year -- Envoy Denali, Envoy XL Denali, and Sierra Crew Cab Denali.

The application is somewhat different on each model, but the general attitude is the same -- ''distinctive styling, segment-leading refinement and superior V8 power.''

That's the view of the new general marketing manager of GMC, Jim Bunnell, who notes that such an attitude has resulted in Denali models accounting for nearly 30 percent of Yukon and Yukon XL sales, which means more profits for General Motors.

Since 1999, the Denali name has become synonymous with upscale refinement, styling and performance, with Denali models now accounting for nearly 30 percent of Yukon and Yukon XL sales.

''Denali is the pinnacle of GMC's professional grade offerings and customers responded to it from the very first Yukon Denali model we sold five years ago,'' says Bunnell.

''The Sierra Crew Cab Denali and Envoy Denali models bring Denali's reputation of quality and refinement to a whole new group of customers,'' says Bunnell. ''They are the right products at the right time.''

The models' chrome, billet metal-look grille and monochromatic exterior details are signature Denali styling cues, and they also feature tighter fascia-to-body gaps, as well as additional acoustic materials to ensure a quieter interior and to enhance the feeling of quality and workmanship.

In addition, the five-seat Envoy Denali and eight-seat Envoy XL Denali feature new front and rear fascias, integrated body-color running boards, body-color accents and 17-inch polished forged aluminum wheels.

Inside, says Bunnell, ''high-quality leather, burl wood grain trim and satin metallic accents work harmoniously to maintain the Denali promise of uncompromising refinement.
