Just picked up a 2018 All-Track with 4-motion drive with both technology packages having just turned in my 2011 Sportswagen diesel. Thought hard about buying another volkswagen, but didn't feel the current crop of diesels (Cuze hatchback, Chev Equinox) were really as good and Mazda keeps delaying release of the new CX5 diesel. What do you notice? Well, I sure miss the mileage of the diesel. I think its priced high for a vehicle of its size but having spent some time with it (and recognizing that a car is really an emotional decision) am coming to feel that the money was well spent. With the higher suspension and the bigger 18 inch wheels the All-Track feels much more stocky than a standard sportswagen. Canada has more than its share of winter-destroyed roads and potholes in the late winter and you really notice the much more robust and pavement-evening suspension. You notice that getting in and out of the vehicle seems easier due to height. I really am enjoying the buttery-smooth clutch and manual six-speed - It make (for me at least) driving a standard FUN. The engine/turbo is much smoother than the diesel and if it has a flat spot, I haven't found it yet. Most of all, moving from a 2011 Highline to a 2018 fully-loaded All track, I notice the fit and finish of the vehicle - I also own a 2018 Audi 4 and the interior of the two cars feel very similar and take cues from each other. I would say that the All Track is a great choice for someone who really likes the driving experience, wants to be actively engaged and seeksthe functionality of an SUV but not the mass. The All-Track continues to reveal its mysteries and most of them are deeply satisfying...
