The most unethical dealership in town!

I purchased a used 2018 Jeep Wrangler from Tim Monastyrski at Auto Adoption (80 Archibald, Wpg MB) in Noverber of 2019. The vehicle was advertised and sold as having the Dual Top Group included. The soft top was located inside of the hard top at the back and could not be removed without the hard top being removed; not a viable option in November, but I assumed it would all be there as this was not a private sale but a sale from a so called actual dealership and they sold it to me as being included. On April 26th when the weather permitted I removed the hard top and proceeded with installing the soft top, however the sides and back were missing; this left the entire back of the Jeep unsecured and open to people and weather (so basically it is useless without the sides and back). I contacted Tim on April 27th to let him know and he said he was going to look for the parts as well as contact the previous owner of the vehicle to see if they had them. He contacted me back on April 27th and said that the parts could not be found and he wasn't sure what else he could do, I informed him that I did not find this to be acceptable as I do not have what he advertised and sold me; the soft top is useless without sides/back obviously. He said he would look into what he could do for me further and would again get back to me. He contacted me again on April 27th to say that there is nothing he can do as they don't have the parts and the cost to replace was not "factored" into the sale.....however as I told him the cost of the soft top was factored into the purchase price that I paid! He then contacted me again on his own on April 29th to say that he was able to "magically find" a set of the missing parts thru another dealer for $250. I let him know that I did not feel good about paying $250 for something I should have received in the first place but as mentioned what I have is currently useless to me. Ended up paying him the $250 just so that I have a complete soft top roof but when I asked for a receipt for the $250 I was told I would then have to pay taxes.....I am fairly certain they had the parts all along and just wanted the tax free money!! Avoid these guys and this place at all costs - they are crooks give all car salesman a bad name!!

Bought a truck from the guys at Auto Adoption in August and was very satisfied with how they treated me. They were able to deal with any concerns that I had, including a cracked window, which they had replaced for me after I purchased the truck. They were honest with me and the truck has been great.

    Ms.

I purchased a vehicle from this dealership on January 17/2017. The sales rep I dealt with, was less than 100% honest. The ad they posted for the car stated One Owner, and that the "couple of incidents on the carproof were probably something like parking lot dings as they were under a thousand bucks." In fact that car had multiple owners, and the carproof, which I did NOT get to see until the papers were signed, listed the so called dings as "collisions." When I confronted him on this, he offered me a car wash certificate. When he called me later to confirm financing, he stated the total price of the car came in just "under" my firm price ceiling. In actual fact while I was signing the documents, he casually tossed out that it went just over. Personally just over is somewhat less than the 2000+ over that it actually was. Generally speaking the sales rep will attempt to gain your trust and confidence through very subtle conversation techniques such as mentioning his church group. All tactics designed to relax you in to thinking you are in good hands. The car being fairly new, is mechanically sound, however if you are considering purchasing an older model car, I would NOT trust this representative to be forthright and honest. Take it yourself for a test drive, and definitely have an independent mechanic evaluate the car.
